Just ask for Rocco and let him recommend what to eat. Upscale Italian at reasonable prices with superb ambiance make roc a place to celebrate a special occasion.

The food is decent, the space is inviting, so what is it that does not feel quite right? It has to be the ill-trained and impersonal staff that appears to just be going through the motions. Perhaps they should take a lesson from Il Gigino right next door which is always crowded while The Roc is half empty. They really... More

Roc has been in TriBeCa for many years . It's a nice place with good food. I think it's underrated. Their pastas are excellent as well as their main courses. I recommend this place

Who says people in New York aren't friendly? Well they could not be more wrong at this place where we had the pleasure of experiencing friendly personal service and excellent food. We got chatting to our waiter about where we were from (Australia, but originally Europe) and where he was from (Italy) and more specifically if there was a wine... More

We made reservations at ROC Restaurant for a 25th anniversary celebration as we were celebrating in NYC. We had a party of 7 and contacted the restaurant for reservations and informed them of this celebration. Our special celebration was never acknowledged, we were squished in like sardines and I felt terribly rushed throughout the entire dinner. The noise level seemed... More

I tried this place a decade ago and it was great. Back for another visit and it's still in business and still impressive. Located on the corner of Duane and Greenwich, this old space is in the middle of nou·veau riche, overpriced real estate mecca of NYC and the menu prices reflect the surroundings. Tables and chairs for couples and... More

When I came to New York, I wanted to have some serious authentic Italian cuisine, and Roc definitely delivered. They were highly recommended by some local family members and they were not wrong! The pasta was delicious, their appetizers were delicious, and their limoncello was out of this world! Definitely coming back!

If you're craving for Mediterranean moment along with the vib of NYC, then the Roc Restaurant is the place to visit! Since, we were tempted for Italian food, you will only receive the 40%. Unfortunately, skip the "LINGUINI ALLE VONGOLE $22", it's too salty but if you're asking for al dent', they will deliver. If the Executive Chef is not in... More

Visited ROC restaurant on a resent trip to New York with my wife. Met at the door by a pleasant host who had obviously familiarised himself with names and times of bookings for the evening, we were early and he knew what time our table was just from the name. We both had scallops as starters, which were superb. Be... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
