Great little Italian restaurant. Visited with other couples and everyone loved their meal. Lobster fra diavolo was delicious!

when we reached here it was just around 300 and thus lunch crowd was over. Their food was good, though not at all cheap.

Had an early dinner here last week. Around 6pm on a Wednesday 2 tables were occupied. Service was prompt but not overly friendly or welcoming. I ordered the Pasta Fagioli. I was surprised to see they make them with Rigatoni... never seen that soup with large pasta, usually i've had it with smaller type pasta like Ditalini... oh well, it... More

We ate a late lunch at 2 PM on a Monday. I was with some business associates. Next time the wife and I are in NYC this will definitely be on the list. They brought out some warm bread and a plate of olives, salame and cheese. All very good. I had tortellini alla panna. So, so good. Highly recommended.

We ate here while staying at the nearby Cosmopolitan hotel and were quite impressed with the service and food. It felt like an old school restaurant in Rome. Very cool ambiance and the service was especially attentive. Will definitely visit again.

Nice little place, was close to church street where I was staying, convenient. I went here with a colleague for dinner at the suggestion of the concierge at the Hilton Millennium. I ordered the carpaccio with arugula and was generally pleased with it although I would have liked a spring mix salad. The Pinot noir wine matched my food well.... More

Enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner here tonight! The antique inviting decor and professional staff made this a delightful experience. If you like fresh anchovies try the anchovy salad... Delicious! My bride chose the penne A la Vodka which I also tasted. Wow! Very impressive.. The sauce was somewhat addictive! They made a seafood Fra Diavolo. Well made & delicious! Wines... More

We came here for the first time in a long time with friends on Valentine's Day, and really enjoyed ourselves again. The restaurant itself has wonderful old fashioned style to it, with dark polished woodwork and mirrors, and it was festively decorated with red and white balloons and flowers for the occasion. My husband had the mozzarella and tomatoes to... More

I had dined here once before many years ago and had very good meal but somehow I never made it back. I should have made the effort. I stopped in for dinner by myself and sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The menu was not overly extensive but there was a good selection. I think a... More

I was invited to a Holiday Lunch at Ecco and heard many good things, that were not apparent. I arrived a bit late and when I inquired where the party was seated, I was told I was the first to arrive. Five minutes later I was told they made a mistake and escorted to the table. The host pre-ordered an... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
