Was super excited to go Serendipity 3 and it was worth all the fanfare. Even before I arrived, the service was exceptional. I called in before I arrived to NY and made an advanced booking a few weeks before. When I arrived there was a long line, but I was able to past the line and directed to my seating... More

My husband and I went to Serendipity on a Monday evening and didn't have to wait long for a table for two. The restaurant is a combination of eccentricity, fantasy, and color, with no spot left undecorated. Our waiter loves being part of the experience where many famous people have visited. I recommend the frozen hot chocolate and to take... More

The frozen hot chocolate was delicious, 5 stars!!!! Staff friendly. We went around 1 pm on a Thursday & were seated immediately. Decorations fun. Great gifts, like hot chocolate mix and ornaments. Food tasty. Great place to visit - food, attraction and gifts all in one. We were in a hurry and were able to get in & out in... More

We came for a late night snack and of course the famous frozen hot chocolate! Their food was very good and the frozen hot chocolate was tasty!! We visited on a Friday night and the line to wait was reasonable. I love that they wait until all members of your party arrive in order to sit you so tables are... More

We arrived hoping to get a table but was told there was a 2 hour wait, so we booked for another day. When we arrived, our table was ready and we walked straight in. The food and drinks were delicious and plentiful! Half our party just ordered dessert! Those who ordered a meal and dessert struggled to finish everything. The... More

We were fortunate enough to be there on a fairly slow night - which meant that we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. The decor is eclectic, the staff is friendly, it's fairly clean. Desserts came out really FAST. A fun experience to have one time. It was crowded and expensive, with a minimum per person charge. While... More

Nice place for dining. The design of the venue is very colorful and unique. Great food. The chocolate and ice cream dessert is a must try. You have to have reservations, or you may wait for your turn in the long line.

Absolutely dreadful visit. There is a $8.50 minimum spend PER PERSON. The food arrived cold. $15 for a macdonalds size burger and manky chips. All of which arrived cold. Smallest piece of cheesecake for $10. I will never go back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Chicken Char Char was a mistake. Fries definitely came out of a box in the freezer. But the Frrrrozen hot chocolate was divine, especially in the kitschy/gaudy aisle atmosphere of Serendipity 3. A neighborhood must-see if you're a longtime NYC tourist, but definitely not first on the list. Stick around if they tell you the wait is 20 minutes, that... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
