Been here always for desert but have never been disappointed. They are amazing truly works of art and taste magnificent. The service is also excellent. Our waiter tonight was on top of his game. We sat down he had our drink order and we had water in a flash and when the main event arrived he was quick to offer... More

We went with some friends who had eaten here years ago. We didn't have reservations but got there as they opened up. A line had formed. The guy seating people was very rude. Yelling at people if they had reservations. We had a party of 5. The place is very busy with stuff all around. Reminded me of an old... More

Visited here primarily because of the hype. We were in the area so were early, but a queue quickly formed outside. We ordered desserts because of recommendations from other TA users. We ordered the Frozen Hot Chocolate - which was nice but nothing spectacular and the Drug Store Sundae with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream with hot fudge and... More

The highlight of the meal was the frozen caramel hot chocolate! Don't go for the food, go for dessert! While the food is good the deserts are spectacular. Charming cafe made famous by the movie, there was a line before it even opened. Once it opened we were quickly sat and tended too.

This was a place my daughter wanted to visit. It was featured in the movie serendipity. The desserts all look wonderful and we were surprised to find out that our meal was equally good. We consider this a must do on all furniture visits.....

Went with friends for dinner. We had made reservations few months in advance and had requested 2 tables close to each other (group of 13: 6 mothers and 7 teenagers)... Our tables were so far away we couldn't couldnt see them. Service was really slow. Food was OK. Nothing great about it.

This restaurant has the best frozen hot chocolate ever!!! It was decorated so cute inside but definitely make reservations because there were people who didn't who were waiting almost 2 hours!! The food was good and the overall experience was so cool!

Having visited Serendipity 3 many times over several decades I was disappointed during my last visit. No more locals, just visitors (like us LOL). The menu hasn't changed much, with the frozen desserts a major draw. I personally love the frozen espresso, so strong and bitter only few will dare eat it. Yum! However, the crepes were a disaster. Obviously... More

We wanted to check out Serendipity 3 because of the hype on the internet regarding its frozen hot chocolate. At 3PM on a recent Friday there was a line of people waiting to get in and a reported 45 minute wait-time. I guess people became frustrated because after 20 minutes we were seated. The waitstaff was friendly but the food... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
