We decided to grab a bite at Serendipity on a Saturday night. I called to make reservations, but it was already busy and the closest time was at 10:30 pm. They told me I could walk-in and put my name on a list and wait about 45 minutes for a table. We showed up around 9pm and the list was... More

I heard about this place and went with friends it looked interesting. We ordered Can't say No Sundae and pecan pie. They were ok, huge quantities and a big mess.

Holy cow! The sundaes here are huge and DELISH! Very random and old school decor...was told it has been there since the 50s and it looks like it. Lots of fun and good sweets. John our server was a lot of fun, too!

This place is astronomically priced, a poor location, and the food is terrible and expensive! You certainly do not get a good value and have so many other fabulous restaurants to choose from in the city, don't waste your time. This place must be surviving on its Hollywood appearances or Oprah's frozen hot chocolate spill, for a mere $10.95 (so... More

3 of us were excited to try this place. 2 of us had their famous frozen hot chocolate drink and I had the frozen coconut-orange drink. They are piled high with whipped cream, which looks so inviting and should have been delicious. But, what a let down. The whipped cream was nasty. Not sweet at all. Plain. When the waiter... More

Absolutely delicious desserts including Hot Chocolates. We both were in love with teh place- so enchanting inside. We sat upstairs next to a gorgeous, large white mirrior surrounded by pink lights and chandeliers all around. I liked it better upstairs bc the tables seemed to have a little more space btw them (compared to downstairs). Downstairs is definitely lovely and... More

A few years ago we took our granddaughters to New York City and could not get into Serendipity3 because of the long wait. While passing through NYC recently I stopped into Serendipity3 during the afternoon and got right in. After enjoying the "Frozen Hot Chocolate" we had the "Shrimp Avocado Salad" which was ok but not enough avocado. We could... More

This place was a surprise - very cool decor in a small space, friendly staff, and a big, weird menu that focuses on desserts. The desserts are huge! We had the frozen hot chocolate and the pecan pie, both of which were very good, plus there was a bit of celebrity spotting the day we were there! Good fun.

Thank Nicholas C

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
