The favorite intimate high end restaurant for many New Yorkers, the restaurant offers consistently remarkable foods with strong seasonal emphasis in low key elegance. Breads are amazing, wine list pricy but excellent especially for Burgundies.
Had breakfast recently at Cafe Boulud. Sadly mediocre. Service was shaky and not up to Daniel's standard and remarkedly slow. Even more surprising was the disappointing food quality. Scrambled eggs not upto the French standard, substandard sausages, greasy bacon and overly garlic seasoning on potatoes. OJ was good. Hope Daniel Boulud has not spread himself too thin!
Our desire is to make sure each guest has a wonderful meal, so we are sorry you were disappointed with your breakfast. We value your feedback and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. Please send me your email or phone number to email@example.com and I will contact you directly. Respectfully, Cherif Mbodji, Café Boulud - New York City More
With a Michelin star and Colombian-born executive sous chef whose Burger King-to-Institut Paul Bocuse tale will surely be made into a movie, the bar was set very high for this meal. Oh, and it's part of a hotel off Central Park that JFK and Bette Davis had stayed in. Unfortunately the crab salad, chocolate molten cake, exotic sorbets, and even... More
Had break last here as part of the Surrey Hotel. The food was distinctly average as was the service. The scrambled egg turned up in a bowl with smoked salmon separate as opposed to mixed as requested. It's fine but one expects a bit more being joined to an excellent hotel.
I had a diner in this restaurant during my business visit to NY. I opted for the tomato salad and the strip lion which both were delicious . Good bread selection and excellent service and molten chocolate.
We are delighted you took such pleasure in your meal with us while in NY, and we thank you for your kind words. I would enjoy greeting you personally, so be sure to ask for me the next time you visit. Gratefully, Cherif Mbodji, Café Boulud More
Cafe Boulud is a throwback to a time when great food was it's own reward and sufficient to the point of allowing it to remain the centerpiece of a dining experience. Today's uber pricey meal patron deserves a dining experience with a bit of fun interjected into the experience and that requires noticing and listening to the dining guest. Cafe... More
We had a wonderful dinner. Great atmosphere, superb service and wonderful food. The evening was simply wonderful. Management should be congratulated on running a fabulous establishment.

I was able to get a reservation last minute on a Thursday night. Although we had to wait for our table past our reservation time, the host took very good care of us and escorted us to the bar, secured a table and got us wine. Once we were seated, the service and the food were fantastic. We all had... More

My husband is planning a dinner party for me in December for my 75th birthday. My birthday is December 11th, 2016. I have seen mixed reviews and I would like to know what kind of accommodations you would have for a group of 10. It would be very upsetting if the service was way slow.
