We chose the Liberty Room at Aureole for our pre-theater dinner on our anniversary. Great choice! We enjoyed excellent Manhattans and then had a delicious three-course dinner. Our server was so attentive and seemed to know what we wanted before we knew--including the second Manhattan! Our food was delicious, drinks devine, service excellent, and perfect maitre d! A lovely dessert... More

7 course taster menu with matching wines. Excellent service from the Maitre D, although i believe there was some training going on with another less experienced waiter who struggled to explain the first offering to us and brought the menus again once our selections were made. All 7 courses were excellent, the signature dish (Alaskan Black Cod) stands out and... More

Made an Open Table reservation almost 60 days in advance since we were going to be in NYC and wanted a Friday night. We were actually called a month out to make sure that we understood the pricing and I appreciated they checked in case I didn't know. This is an expensive restaurant...it is also a very good restaurant. We... More

We were seated at a roomy banquet in the elegant Liberty room. It was pleasantly quiet enough to enjoy a conversation even though the tables were all occupied. I had the summer greens to start which was delicious and so fresh. It was a very generous portion and could have been a meal in itself. For the next course I... More

We got a lunch mid week and the whole experience was really great. Amazing food, cool atmosphere and on top of it very reasonable lunch prices. Took a 3 course lunch menu and each dish was very tasty, as well as aesthetically nice. Probably the best value for money around.

Disappointed but glad I tried it - had the tuna tartar and it had no taste - place was busy tho - perhaps I picked the wrong thing on the menu?

Been here twice. Once in our wedding day which was absolutely fantastic. The food is to die for. The wine list is extensive and ranges from quite modest prices to Kanye west prices. The lounge is more relaxed, but this doesn't mean it's any less amazing. The attention to detail makes everything worth the money. Although a touch more expensive... More

Aureole is very elegant, refreshing and definitely worth visiting. The only complaint would be lack of blue cheese stuffed olives.

I hate when I have to give a bad review. Particularly when the server had absolutely 100% responsibility in how bad the experience turned out. The restaurant is very nice. The menu looked simply divine. There were 6 of us- each tired from a long day of travel and work. We just wanted a nice meal, some cocktails and to... More

Good to know this is for the front of the room "Liberty Room", no white table clothes here, just plain place mats. The service was sketchy throughout the meal, at the end of the meal I asked for tea, the guy brings it after reminding our server, and not even bothered to ask and put by the side of my... More

Description
Aureole, New York is the flagship showcase for Charlie Palmer's unabashed, energetic signature Progressive American cuisine. Now under the culinary leadership of Executive Chef Marcus Gleadow-Ware, who learned the importance of the classics at London's world-renowned Savoy Hotel, the kitchen turns out elegant, simple dishes with sharply focused flavors like Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with crispy shiitake, scallions, taro root, ponzu and lavash cracker.

Aureole is located within the spectacular Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the world. Offering a range of dining options, the Liberty Room is smart and casual with walnut-topped tables and a back-lit, etched glass front bar with polished natural zinc top surface, the intimate Dining Room is designed in both lighting and texture to give off a golden glow, and The Halo Private Dining Room is wrapped with fabric panel and silver leaf walls, dotted with sculptural back-lit flame sconces. Now in its 25th year, Aureole is contemporary urban elegance.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
