Four of us spent 3 + hours enjoying a great dinner here on a recent Saturday night. All of us went a la carte although a fixed price menu option was available. We ate in the bar area with many folks who were headed for shows and on a tight schedule, but we advised the restaurant we had no such... More

We had a recommendation to eat a Aureole while on a visit to NYC. It was a great call. The food and service is outstanding.

We popped in for a cocktail and dessert after the theatre. Beautiful place. The staff (one woman in particular, tall, blond) left an awful lot to be desired! The bar maid (?) was vile. She was arrogant, unapproachable and ill informed. I asked about a particular spirit, she hadn't got a clue! The bar man was much more friendly and... More

We were a couple of 4 dining at 7pm on a weeknight. They did not have our reservation, but were able to accommodate us. The service was poor-we waited an hour for our entrees and the restaurant was only 50% full when we sat down. I had to ask 3 times for an ice tea. The sommelier did not smile... More

Went for business dinner with another person. Restaurant is big very elegant a little too crowded. Need to ask for separate table otherwise ending in a table for 2 in a long line of tables for 2... Waiters were very responsive and great bread. elected NOT to do the tasting menu we were afraid the portions will be too small... More

What a wonderful lunch we had at Aureole. The restaurant caters mostly to the business crowd and although we were clearly tourists, unlike at some other restaurants, there was no difference in how we were welcomed and treated as customers. I appreciated that. We went there for a fine dining experience, and that's what we got, with attentive and respectful... More

Was pleased with my visit to Aureole. It is excellently located if you are going to a Broadway show. Service was pretty solid. The best thing I had was the black cod. It is known to be their signature dish and I can see why. Everything else was good but that cod was on another level.

Celebrated my wife's birthday here and had an amazing meal! The presentation was beautiful the portions nicely sized and the flavors of the appetizers and entrees were wonderful. Service was very attentive and pleasant and friendly. I had told them ahead of time that it was my wife's birthday, and on the way in the hostess and others wished her... More

A second summer NYC Restaurant week meal ~ and this year it’s become almost a whole month-long (or 4-week) event. But as another reviewer has said, this is “a chance for us peasants to experience the finer things in life.” Quite a gastronomic gala.. that draws out the hungry “fast and curious,” and also the less endowed who are eager... We went for dinner, and had a very good meal. Food was good, and service was good, but, nothing was amazing, or something I would rush back for. The burger and lobster were very good, but, something we could have gotten for much less elsewhere.

Thank Jleibo

Aureole, New York is the flagship showcase for Charlie Palmer's unabashed, energetic signature Progressive American cuisine. Now under the culinary leadership of Executive Chef Marcus Gleadow-Ware, who learned the importance of the classics at London's world-renowned Savoy Hotel, the kitchen turns out elegant, simple dishes with sharply focused flavors like Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with crispy shiitake, scallions, taro root, ponzu and lavash cracker.

Aureole is located within the spectacular Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the world. Offering a range of dining options, the Liberty Room is smart and casual with walnut-topped tables and a back-lit, etched glass front bar with polished natural zinc top surface, the intimate Dining Room is designed in both lighting and texture to give off a golden glow, and The Halo Private Dining Room is wrapped with fabric panel and silver leaf walls, dotted with sculptural back-lit flame sconces. Now in its 25th year, Aureole is contemporary urban elegance.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
