Waiter was not able to explain what was included in the all you can eat menu. We discovered that from the check. Very bad service. Make sure you ask only for the ayce dishes. Good food but pricey without the ayce option.

I've been going to this place for about 20 years (if not more). Management and ownership changed couple of times over the years but the sushi /fish remains good and fresh. Great service. Always packed on Thurs, Fri and Sat - most likely there will be a wait. Brought many friends and family there- they all loved the food. Place itself is basic, but cosy.

Food was decent for all you can eat. We were 2 of 4 people in the restaurant and even so, the server proceeded to remind us that we HAD to finish all of our rice for all you can eat. I get it, but we just had a small amount left and the fact that the restaurant was empty, it seemed out of place to remind us of this. We won’t be back. Fish was bland. Portions of the sushi pieces were stingy. Restaurant was cold. Plus one of the employees was watching us to make sure we ate the rice.

In what we describe here concerns the all you can eat buffet ($26 without taxes as of today). We visited the place a year from now... and it was not bad at all. The service was friendly, the guys preparing the sushi/maki even made us try “specials” without extra charge. You felt welcomed. That was back in the days... Now, though, you feel like (and I quote another reviewer) a big in the trough: the food still arrives fast, but the temaki (for instance) are barely closed. The waitress never asks whether the food is good or not - she does’t even bother asking whether you want the miso soup that is included. No suggestions whatsoever regarding drinks are made neither. Not to forget the price increase of $3 within one year without obvious reason. This said, (and knowing that we did by far not eat unreasonably much) we decided to go for “only” a 10% tip. However and miraculously, that caused a reaction by the waitress: “That’s not enough! Need to give more!” WTF?! The only thing that saved them from a 1 star rating is the consistent friendliness of the guys preparing the sushi and the fact that they do their best under the obvious pressure of preparing everything super fast just to increase the customer count.

Food is good. Fish tastes fresh and the food comes pretty fast. Pretty good service. Very busy when we went and the servers were a bit slammed but they handled it very well. Very friendly.

My friends and I used to come here while in Med school and it was lovely. Yes, it was "all you can eat" but it still felt like a restaurant. Now it's chaos! Sushi is barely wrapped, it doesn't taste bad but it takes forever to get, service is disorganized and barely existent. Felt like it was made for pigs in the trough. If they have this all you can eat concept, is it possible to provide some level of service that doesn't amount to throwing plates on the table? This place used to be quite classy but this time I saw the waitress argue with a young man who hadn't gotten his food - turns out the Order sheet was lost. He was all but begging and trying to convince her he hadn't eaten! I'll try to remember the place the way it used to be.

This is an excellent neighborhood sushi spot! They offer All You Can Eat but I actually like the options for a la carte more and do not recommend All You Can Eat. The sushi quality here is very good and they are generous with their fish in the rolls. I used to be a regular here while living in the neighborhood. Now that I have moved, I still try to make occasional trips to this sushi spot because it is worth the schlep!

Originally checked this place out because of its advertised "all you can eat & drink" option. FYI, there is NO all you can drink, it's just all you can eat for $24.95 per person all day everyday. They do have Japanese beer and hot sake/wine by the glass, but not as part of the all you can eat option. They also offer a free miso soup that comes with the all you can eat option, but if you want to save space for the very good sushi you may want to opt out of that. The place cozy, with a small sushi bar with 10 seats in the front where the sushi chefs are hard at work, and a back dining area with tables. We were immediately greeted and given a number on the wait. Friday night at 8 only had a 10-15 minute wait for a table for 2. The sushi was just delicious- fresh and flavorful. We ended up getting around 10 different cut and hand rolls and every one was excellent. They have whole rolls (cut rolls) as well as hand rolls which are smaller rolls wrapped in nori. Service was very attentive and fast as well! If you get the all you can eat option they do require that you finish everything you order at the table or you do have to pay an extra charge for the leftovers. However you can order however many times you like from the order cards at the table, so it's easy to keep up whatever pace you'd like to. This place was really excellent and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality, reasonably priced sushi in Manhattan.

Every time when in NY, we go to this tiny sushi place. It’s consistently delicious every time. Really enjoyed sushi this time, just like all the previous times over the past 10 yrs. highly recommend.

On my trip to New York city I searched for a sushi place to have lunch at. Considering the good reviews as well as the good all you can eat pricing, we decided to give it a go. I haven't regretted it for a second. I genuinely think that sushi outside of Japan itself can't be tastier than this. It's the best sushi I've had to date and probably will remain to be so until I visited Japan. In my week in NYC I went here twice. Next time when I will be in NYC, The first place I'm going to sit down and eat will be here. Highly recommended!
