Viand Cafe, next to the historic Beacon Theater, serves delicious comfort fare with a smile. Show folk seem to frequent it. It's perfect for dinner before a Beacon show or a snack afterwards.

Old school service, all committed to memory, friendly and attentive! Lobster Ravioli was sensational. Clam pasta w white sauce and philly steak were great. Freshly made lemonade is worth a go.

Family owned restaurant that offers home made cooking. Large portions. Very nice staff. Restaurant offers, at least weekdays, various specials including soup or salad at very decent prices. For people staying or living in Upper West Side, it is a place to go. 311Anne

The biggest disappointment with our visit to the Viand Cafe was the staff. Overall it was awkward, it felt like I was in a prison visiting room with the two guards standing by watching us, one (who looked like the owner) was so miserable and...More
