We have enjoyed Viand on Madison for many, many years, especially for breakfast. It was hard to beat for food, atmosphere and fun! Did not realize a second had been opened on Broadway! We enjoyed the new venue and neighborhood. It is larger and brighter but nicely reminiscent of the original. Had the oatmeal with berries and walnuts for the... More

I ate here for breakfast every day of my 4 day stay and felt like I found a home base. Had the oatmeal, omelette, corned beef hash and scrambled eggs. Toast comes with homemade jam - and they even substituted for an amazing gluten free toast at no extra charge! It's really a neighborhood oriented place - the waitress commented... More

We were staying at a hotel 2 blocks away and decided to try Cafe Viand. The menu is large and it looks good but I didn't like the food as much as I expected to. I had the meatloaf and it tasted very garlicy and not hearty and meaty. The bread came out all warm but once it cooled off... More

Great service, great coffee, and the food...was out of this world. One of the best breakfasts I have had in a very long time. Hope we can do lunch next time we are in town.

Cafe Viand is next door to the hotel I stay in when visiting NYC and given that it had snowed all day, there was a good 6" on the ground and I'm currently needing a crutch to walk I ate dinner there rather than risk a fall crossing the street to get some prepared food at either Fairway Market or... We went for breakfast. The place is OK but not moer than that. There are many other options in this area which are better.

Located next to Hotel Beacon, this restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seemed to be quite popular during our two visits. Food and service were good both times.

Basic breakfast in midtown. Reasonably priced and eggs and turkey sausage and home fries were good and fried egg sandwich was just what it should. Talk juice glasses and good coffee. Old school stool at the counter- not elegant at all- simple but good.

My mom and I went here the second to last night in NYC, and we enjoyed it. The Matzo ball soup was incredibly yummy. Service wasn't bad.

Just had a delicious meal, welcomed by friendly staff and quickly seated with drinks and menus. Calamari starter was tasty, I had the pesto pasta which was fabulous and my husband had the burger which he said was good. Very attentive staff also asking if we were ok and if we needed more drinks. We were so full but squeezed... More
