We often plan 'business breakfasts' at Luxembourg, but also love 'adult' dinners at this classy main-stay. Though not for the budget-conscious, everything's delicious; we've never had a bad meal here. Service is always impeccable. Personally, I would not bring children to this restaurant, as it enjoys a certain peaceful ambience. Personal favorites include the steak frites and salads, though we've... More

I visited here for the first time and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and our meal came out within minutes of ordering. For anyone who enjoys French food, this place is a must-see!

Cafe Luxembourg is considered a classic in NYC. It has a good location. The décor is not the best since it doesn't provide a good level of comfort - too many tables and seats for the available space. Food is good but not memorable and lacks some simple things. For example, mussels frites without bread is laughable, to say the... More

Glad for the consistency and longevity of this place. Always good for breakfast ( omelettes ! ), lunch or dinner. Busy fun very New York-y place, friendly efficient service tho table spacing can be tight, lively bar most times, noisy due to all the white tile but I enjoy eating here with friends or out of town visitors, too, good... Luxembourg is a go-to for me, both to meet friends who live here and visitors alike. It never ceases to delight on all fronts. The food is consistently excellent, my all time favorite is the Croque Monsieur which comes with both perfectly cooked fries and a perfectly dressed salad. Depending on the hour of the day, the service is usually... More

I divide my time between Hong Kong and New York and when in the latter I always make sure to visit Café Luxembourg. Not only does it have great ambience but it's one of those places where you know you that whatever you order will be great. The menu has a wide range of options so you are bound to... More

I live very close to this restaurant but that's not the only reason I'm here all the time. The real reason is that this restaurant never disappoints. The staff, the energy, the food, the wine, the feeling that you're in a place where everyone wants to be... all of these are reasons to make it your business to visit this... More

Had a late dinner after a concert and, as always, it was a very good meal. Service could have been more attentive. It took me a good 10 minutes to visit the lavatory (they are always packed and only have 3 individual lavatories so most often a wait) and the server had not gone to the table to get drink... More

The food was appallingly bad. My lunch was not eatable- a salad with a paillard of chicken. The chicken was disgusting- i would have thrown a NYC fit but i was with a pal whose husband had just died, so it was not the time for that. I just want to worn others that it has gone down hill, far... More

Established, proud to star menu items that have been served at the restaurant for years, convenient to Lincoln Center it provides good fish dishes and even their special hamburger. A place that used to have a staid quiet environment, it now is full of more boisterous young professionals. Solid if not spectacular.
