The bar is open to also non-hotel guests. This makes the place lively but we found the external guests could get pushy and try to join our hotel guest tables and then make us leave.

Went to an after party here recently. Friendly staff, great vibe and good layout for large groups, make this, the best bar I've been to on the lower east side. Run by Some very knowledgeable guys, who own bars all over NYC, these guys know how to do it right. If you want a good time, in a place which... More

We stopped at the taco window to get a quick bite. The tacos were the size of the palm of a small hand and were not even full of ingredients. We waited for 10 minutes of 3 tiny tacos at $4.50 a piece because we added guacamole ($.50) that was not even noticeable. Awful and a waste of money AND... More

I was looking for a bar to stop for drinks before dinner at The MasalaWala. This was within a few blocks. The bar did not object to my twin daughters (16yo) sitting in the bar (but not at the bar). We had very good martinis- for such a simple drink, it is amazing how often bartenders screw it up. Each... More

We stopped by for a drink and met up with family on our return to our hotel from dinner. The staff were very attentive, noise levels were kept to a level which allowed talking and there were lots of lounge chairs and comfy chairs to sit around in. Seems to be a bit of a hip, yet classy bar and... More

We liked the atmosphere. The serving was very tentative and friendly. I had the fish&chips which was well above average. The beer selection (draft) was small but world class. Had Founders Union Jack IPA and Founders mosaic IPA.

This is definitely a great place to hang out, have drinks and nibbles and soak up the surroundings. We only had nibbles (pub style stuff), which was good. The staff is amazing and fun and the atmosphere is first rate. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and the service is great in either. Some of the seating is reserved... More

The Bowery in NY home from home but your not really allowed into the Lounge/bar unless resident. It's not big but it has old world class and no NY bling which is why you find so many famous people there. The restaurant is the Italian next door first class. Forget Trump Tower etc by Central park this is a real... More

The place is quite nice but so noisy and so expensive, for the food served. Groups of men almost drunk spoke so loudly that it was impossible to chat at our table. Food was good but not so special.

This place has been around for years, and the menu shows it. The food is standard bar fare; stick with the burgers and fries, which are adequate and sometimes good. I had a sea bass carpaccio that tasted like nothing at all recently, and wish I hadn't been adventuresome. On the other hand, the service is friendly, and if they're... More
