True JG's style! Casual, but an unbelievable flavours and tastes festival. I can see myself having breakfast in the chic lobby of the Mercer with a quick bagel and salmon with your perfect espresso. Having lunch on a hot summer day of shopping in SOHO with a refreshing gazpacho or burrata. Stopping there to warm up on a late October... More

With two of my friends I went there on the Saturday night at 630 PM and left at 1100 PM after having had a very good dinner and very nice drinks. When we arrived the host gave us a table next the kitchen which which we did not like. We asked to change and were immediately accommodated. We had a... More

Made the last brunch appointment at 4p Sat - the best part were the fries. Crabcake was a bit salty but otherwise excellent. The organic chicken was delicious. The lamb sandwich was meh - sliced lamb served cold, tasted more like roast beef and was nothing special. The kids pasta and kids pizza were good enough that they were both... More

This restaurant supposed to have the best service but neither waiters and hostess are well prepared. They are overwhelmed for the crowd and do nothing to improve. In our time waiting for table, many others with reservation left very disappointed cause they don't know what to do with the clients and how to manage the list. Expect a long waiting... More

Love the food at Mercer kitchen. Everything is delicious, especially the burgers and the tuna appetizers. The place is small upstairs but much larger (and better) downstairs. Highly recommended!

...with Champagne Vinaigrette. I could eat that salad every day for lunch. Really delicious. The Mercer Kitchen is a trendy spot with a dark vibe and flickering votive candles. Super polished and professional staff. Hostess smiled and seemed genuinely happy to see us even though it was 6:30pm on a Wednesday night and our group of 4 did not have... More

The food at Mercer Kitchen is always good, if a little pricey. Mercer has great atmosphere with a lively bar scene. The service can be a little slow but it is a great space

Good service and great food and the restaurant looks amazing but the reality is it all seems ok but then service is really awful. Could have died of thirst and must have asked for a drink at least three times and they still got it wrong. The food was really good but if the service is bad what's the point???... More

If you are looking for a nice hidden casual place, this is the perfect spot. Located in the basement of the Mercer Hotel in Soho, Jean-Georges made a hidden destination. Perfect to meet with friends or for a date... I would recommend the Spicy Margarita for drink (my favorite) and the Sashimi Salmon form JG. It is a casual, sometimes... More

I absolutely love the Mercer Kitchen. The location is central Soho and the food is delicious. The wine list is top notch and the people watching is even better. The service was exceptional. If you like lentil soup, this was the best I have ever had.The kale salad was also delicious and not bitter. We split a burger and the fries... More

Located at the Mercer Hotel, Mercer Kitchen brings a chic, sophisticated vibe to the heart of SoHo. When Mercer Kitchen opened in 1998, it immediately became a destination for New Yorkers, celebrities, and tourists. Situated in the basement of a historic building constructed in the 1800s, the restaurant was designed by Christian Liaigre as a combination of industrial and classic modernism. Chef Jean-Georges' American menu features market-driven, seasonal ingredients prepared in a simple yet elegant style, with favorites like the Tuna Spring Roll, Steamed Shrimp Salad, wood-fired pizzas, and classic Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake. There is an open kitchen, where guests can sit back and watch the show. The perfect restaurant for group dining, special events and celebrations.
