I liked this place. I went for breakfast a couple of times and I found the food different and innovative and the service to be really good

Came over the weekend to visit our NYC friends. Our wonderful host reserved 8 for brunch on a Sunday. What a terrible choice, especially trying to enjoy friends not seen for a long time! The restaurant is extremely crowded, every time the staff passed my chair, I would be bumped! Treated like cattle to move in and out. Very noisy,... More

Breakfast is always an issue for me because I am gluten intolerant and even more sensitive to eggs. So we went to Bubby's for brunch thinking I could order a sandwich. But Bubby's does not have anything gluten-free. Very surprising and disappointing. My husband ordered the pancakes, which came with sourdough bread. You would think that the wait person would... The menu was straight forward American fare and the service prompt, informed and attentive. My wife told me when we first met she was "an old fashioned girl" but I misunderstood! She loved their root beer version of an Old Fashion and pronounced it singular.

I met a friend here for brunch on a Saturday morning. Thank goodness I was early and got our name on the list. 45 mins wait. I ordered the eggs benedict. The eggs were over - cooked :( I ordered cheese grits , also underwhelming. My friend ordered a scrambled egg biscuit and a bloody mary. The tab, with tip... More

Great place for brunch...quite crowded and not much space between tables but that is common in nyc... Lovely fresh orange , beautiful fluffy pancakes and attentive service.Bagels looked delicious (I was looking at the table next to me ) and egg dishes also had a special flare...there is a rustic but cool vibe ...mostly American clientele when I visited ...Bubbys... We came in early straight off a redeye flight and were not disappointed. We did not have reservations, but our group of 5 was quickly seated. The fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing right off the bat (however I requested a second later in the meal and it never arrived). I heard the coffee was very good from others at... More

We stopped for brunch at Bubby's - the service and atmosphere was wonderful and our food was out of this world - we would certainly recommend anyone to make a visit here

It certainly has that 'American' charm. Nice decor. Great service. Food quality was good. But man, $4 for brewed coffee? The coffee was excellent mind you, but kind of steep. I had a pancake, 3 strips of bacon and 2 eggs: $19. Great ingredients. However, a little above what I would consider a good price point.

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
