Meet friends for lunch recently. Excellent food selection and beer choices. Enjoyed the avocado toast and cheddar & spinach omelets. Service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant was busy but not noisy.

We were working nearby and came here for dinner on a Thursday night on the recommendation of a friend. We were not disappointed. As you enter your attention is drawn to the busy open kitchen and airy high ceilings. The understated classic decor is cosy and distinctive. The atmosphere is great. The menu is simple and very straight forward. There's... More

My friend and I were spending a day in NY and happened to be in Noho. She had researched some restaurants and we selected Noho Star. It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday. There was no waiting, which was a big plus, and the staff were very friendly. The hostess put us at a table for 4 and I asked if... More

Pleasant setting and efficient service in this large cafeteria style restaurant. Generous helpings but (low) average value for money.

Cavernous space, no decor to speak of. Limited menu. "Chinese dishes" seemed mostly Peking style. Had weird side of mashed peas w/ mint - sort of Brit cuisine - very good. Beef w noodles, Chinese style - good kick of ginger, scallions, good cut of meat, rare, nice!

I used to work around the corner and 20 years later its still going strong- they dont serve anything that isnt well prepared and fresh. Service is professional and cordial. Casual dining - great location. Great for all meals. Was shocked to have Peking Duck on the menu and tried it was as good as the best in Chinatown.

The 2-year-aged Cheddar on sourdough bread makes this BLT outstanding, and it is a hearty, tasty meal any time of day or night. A family with babies and toddlers was seated nearby, and the overall noise level at lunch was so high that they fit right in. Service is good: water glasses never got below half, and the floor manager... More

This is a great place to meet and gather with friends and family in the Village/Soho area serving up quality level Chinese and new American food. Great to have both options, which meld really nicely. I loved the vegetable options... mashed green peas with mint (not what you'd expect), Mexican corn on the cob with catija cheese, watermelon feta salad,... More

We stumbled upon this place out of luck. It has an extensive diner type menu with some interesting quirks. Like an entire section of Chinese food! Steamed artichoke, sautéed spinach with pine nuts, steak frites and stir fried vegetables. All done perfectly and brought and cleaned by friendly and very competent staff. An excellent double espresso with a tasty Sundae... More

Don't be deceived by the slightly tinted glass making the place look closed from the outside! A great place for a good quality, reasonably priced breakfast. Attentive friendly staff and characterful setting makes this a very good choice.
