My husband brought me to Il Buco for a date night. Unfortunately we didn't have reservations and took a chance at 6.30pm to see if we would get in. We did, but were told with a little bit of annoyance we'd need to be done by 8pm, which was fine as we had a concert to go to after. The... More

Went here for diner and really liked the cosy atmosphere. Good and healthy fresh food served. Make a reservation if want to go, always busy.

We went to celebrate a business success that our team had. We were a table of six. The place is relatively small and pretty loud so best to make reservations. The quality of service was top notch. The appetizers were perfect and delicious. The octopus was a success. The special (meat dish which serves 2 or 3 in theory) was... More

OK, we were late for the reservation but we did call to notify them. We were seated at a most awkward table-at an angle between an aisle and in front of the service door. Spent most of the time wondering if we were going to be battered by passers by. The food was wonderful, especially the chilled corn soup. The... More

Gourmet food. Great service. Classic Italiano cuisine. There were only two things I didn't like: very small portion sizes (although I eat like a Grizzly Bear) and a slender man-like Maître d' standing over your table doing absolutely nothing - felt a bit weird to be honest. It was also over priced - but I'll let Il Buco off for... More

Reservation for 7.15pm, ordered 2 appetizers that took so long to arrive that I made fun that they are kneading the potatoes /flour. (B. truffle Gnochi ) We ordered 2 bottles of wine, before we finished the first bottle the second arrived just after the first appetizer appear.( They want us to spend on drinks but please bring our food)... I will admit that I'm less of a regular now that I live abroad, however when I'm in-town, il Buco remains an important destination to bring colleagues and clients. Made a reservation two weeks ago and arrived this week to discover that we were to have a table for two in ..... the basement (I mean, the "wine cellar"). Incredibly... More

What a shame. I didn't want to do it, but sadly I must. As I've read lots of stellar reviews about this place, I wondered if I was at the right restaurant. Hot, steamy Friday night, we thought we scored a great table in the cave. At first glance, I thought it was hip and cool, but sitting there within... More

This place has a wonderful environment for eating out . It is well decorated with great lighting and actually a small room . There seem to be many locals eating here and the food choices are all excellent, although the menu selections are relatively small. The menu itself has pages about where the food items originate , which farms, etc.,... More

After the shock of not being allowed to sit at a table - two people seem to have to sit side by side at a bar - we settled in for a great evening. Inventive food which is well executed. The wine list is extensive and, maybe we were just lucky, but we had a lovely bottle of white. Staff... More
