We shared 5 dishes between 3 of us. All was delicious except for rib eye it was dried out. The kimichi rice was delicious and so was the chickpea friter.

The best thing about this restaurant is the support staff. The hostess was very friendly and on what should have been a busy Saturday night got us a table for 3 at 7:30, no reservations. The manager stopped by to be sure everything was ok and the new busboy (no name are provided) was extremely attentive, even noting that the... More

When we went to spice market the food was cooked well but the seasonings were all wrong they had sweet duck and some spicy seabass. Not to mention the service they messed up our bill a couple times, so overall this was not at all a good dining experience.

This place was horrible. The food was absolutely terrible. The lighting was non existent and the music was horrible. On top of this, they messed up our review two times, adding an extra 50 dollars each time for something we didn't by. The only thing I could recommend about this restaurant is not going to it.

We enjoyed a dinner for two on a Thursday night. We made reservations for 7PM and the host staff that greeted us were super nice. We even had time to grab a round of drinks at the bar first before we sat down for dinner. This is super rare for an upscale NYC restaurant so it started our evening off... More

This is in a very trendy part of town with many choices of bars and restaurants. We were able to get in on a Friday night at 8pm which was fantastic and ordered from the appetiser menu.... Fantastic selection and tastes.... Ill be back for sure.

I try to visit most restaurants a few times before reviewing them, so here it goes: Spice Market is a large & nicely decorated restaurant. They offer a blend of Indian & Asian cuisine which is a nice combination. On my first two visits, we stayed at the bar and had drinks and appetizers. I'm a big fan of the... More

Hands down my favorite restaurant for groups in New York. They have plush couches in private rooms that can accommodate over 10 persons. The food served family style allows you to pace your meal how you like. I have eaten here several times and have yet to be disappointed with either food or drinks. The curry duck is the best... Description
Highlighted in the national and local press, Spice Market, on the corner of 9th Avenue, is inspired by the street food that Jean-Georges Vongerichten enjoyed while traveling in Asia. Authentically uplifted versions of flavourful street foods are served family-style, with dishes arriving continuously throughout the meal for all to share. Spice Market also offers corporate and social dining for large groups in the restaurant, lounge, and intimate, semi-private alcove rooms.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
