Great restaurant for small groups. 7th ave location, easy to get to. The dishes are easy to share. A sort of fusion between Asian and South American fare. Order a few depending on the number in the group. The waiter was quite helpful with suggestions. The grilled meat/sausage platter was good as are all of the rolls we ordered. Plenty... More

Having been to the ones in Chicago and London I can safely say this is the one you should go for good food. The atmosphere is nowhere near as funky and hip as in Chicago or London and the sake list falls heavily short of the huge ones in other locations but they make up for these with their food.... More

We came friends and ordered the set menu which was just perfect. Quality of food was very good and delicious...I tried combinations of flavours that were perfect. Highly recommend the set menu! Only down side was that we understood they had a very busy weekend and our drinks didn't come on time and our water glasses were dirty.

If you care just about great food, go there! Same great food you get in the London branch but no stiff vibe. Casual atmosphere, no dress code, just relax and enjoy awesome food!

Took my daughter and extended family to sushi samba for her 24th birthday and had a great experience. The food was fantastic as it has always been. I haven't been there in a while and enjoyed the spicy tuna over crispy rice and wagu beef dumplings. In fact all the food was great which was complimented by great service, even... More

Just a big fan! Came in on a Friday night ended up waiting for a table, the hosts and management are extremely friendly and made sure to communicate with us about the wait and updates on when we would be seated. When we sat we had an amazing server who just took care of everything! We let him know what... More

I've been to Sushi Samba a number of times when I've been in NYC and it seems to have held its own when it comes to longevity. I think it was an interesting concept when it first came on the scene, but unfortunately our most recent visit will likely be our last. This is not to say that Sushi Samba... More

We went here on high recommendation. The Setting is gorgeous with a really funky vibe. We had salt and spicy squid, chicken teriyaki, sashimi and hand rolls. All were super tasty and some of the best sashimi I've tasted. The drinks I though sent our bill through the roof however it was a treat and I would go back again.... More

I have never been disappointed when I go here. The service is top notch and the food is outstanding. They have a wonderful variety of "Bar Bites" as well as the regular menu. The only negative is the prices. Very pricey but well worth it!

Thank Peter L

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
