Interesting food

After eating in the London venue we tried the New Your one and we were not disappointed. Enjoyed the food even if the location is not as amazing as the London one.

Great helpful service. Fantastic food; the restaurant week menu was delicious. The cocktail tree came with nice flair; the nashi cocktail was refreshing, the lychee cooler was thick and almost creamy, and the brisa caliente had a very nice spicy kick. The ambience is very cool and laid back.

The Japanese river crabs - tiny things, eaten whole - are amazing and the rest of the menu was not bad either. Fun atmosphere, helpful staff and inventive food. If you're here during NY restaurant week there are bargain three course meals to be had, too.

Having visited the more recently opened London branch of this restaurant several times we thought we'd give this a go during a recent 10 trip to NYC. The concept and menu are broadly the same although this restaurant lacks the spectacular views of its London sister. We ordered the Rock Shrimp Tempura, Crispy Maine Lobster Taquitos, Kuromitso Glazed Pork Belly... More

A great place to take sushi novices to expand their palates, but not for sushi purists. More Brazilian than Japanese in decor, you can sense the fun when you walk in. The food is top quality and the rolls inventive. Don't skip the rock shrimp which are highly addictive. The cocktails are delish and not to be overlooked. The wait... More

Spacious place, nice design and atmosphere, helpful and attentive staff. Big plus - tables are not crammed too close to each other so it's not noisy and you don't have to yell to have a conversation. Menu is a bit limited and mostly fusion - great to try new things but not excatly suitable if you are looking for something... More

Went for dinner after a friends recommendation and were seated upstairs on the balcony, great view and vibe to the place. The menu is full of original and exciting dishes with a great sake menu to compliment. We loved the place the dishes were so fresh and full of flavor . The best meal we had in NYC by far... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
