Popped in for a lunch with an old friend to talk a little business and enjoy one of the cities best spots. Have been coming here for over 15 years and it never gets stale. Can always count on amazing service and great food. Sunday brunch is one of my all time fav's. It's just one of those spots you... More

We have dinned many times at the uk -Covent garden restaurant, but this was our first visit to the New York restaurant , we were not disappointed. We arrived about 6.00 after a long day sight seeing and shopping, made to feel very welcome, started with a lovely cocktail - perfect storm, then to eat we had little neck clams... More

We loved our first visit to Balthazar. Paris plopped down in SOHO. The lively, authentically styled french Bistro has a wonderful (if noisy) bar for pre-dinner drinks. The Bistro menu has a number of typically good French choices, such as steak-frites, steak au poivre, coq au vin, and rotating specials. The raw bar is a beauty to behold, and their... More

You have to book dinner in advance. It's always crowded here. The food is really fantastic. Every time I go to NYC I have dinner in the Balthazar.

Despite trying new and trendy places, we always gravitate to Balthazar. In the middle of SoHo, it's a great place for lunch. We stopped here for steak frites and moule frites the other day. crowded, noisy but service was attentive and friendly. Tables are a bit cozy and close. Head waiter and staff very nice and accommodating. Reservations mandatory.

We had a reservation for 10:30 at the Blue Notes Jazz Club. We went in and the Host found us a table that would fit our time and their next reservation. Our waitress, Louraine was the nicest in the city and made sure everything was on time so we could make it to the Jazz Club. Food - excellent, atmosphere... More

This was our second time at this restaurant. I had made reservations well in advance as I know how popular it is. When we arrived the front of the restaurant was in chaos. So many people milling about waiting for a table. You could barely fit in the door. With the reservation we were seated promptly. When we got to... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
