This small, charming space offers home-made tasting food with generous portions.. Salads, soups and pastas are all quite fine. The spinach Gnocchi was excellent. Service is very friendly, efficient and non-intrusive. Wine and beer are available. Nothing fancy but they do the job. Cash only, and this is fairly reflected by the modest pricing. Reservations are accepted for a party... More

Piadina is one of our favorite places to visit whenever we're in New York City. There are a few things to remember: They are only open for dinner. They only take cash (and there's an ATM on site). They only take reservations if your party is six or more. Other than that, this place is amazing. The staff is wonderful,... More

The small space is nicely decorated with Italian art and decorative objects on the wall and the overall noise level was quiet to moderate. We shared an arugula salad with cherry tomatoes and I enjoyed my sole in lemon and white wine which was accompanied by sauteed broccoli rabe and slivers of endive and cherry tomatoes in a very tasty... The food is great and not pretentious, although less fancy than its older sister Gradisca but less rustic than Malatesta. I recommend it!

The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is very cute and quaint; it's very small and cozy and intimate. The menu isn't extensive (which I like), and the food is very good. The staff is friendly. I would definitely go again, either for a casual meal or a special occasion. This place is good for either one.

Good wholesome food but nothing special. Had the Sangiovese and it was what you'd expect for a house wine, light and uninteresting. Had appetizer of asparagus, prosciutto, and ricotta bufalo. Asparagus were steamed, prosciutto was good, ricotta was small and undressed. Pastas were tagliatelle with country meat sauce, tasty but way over-dressed. The other was a pasta with eggplant and... *house-made pastas only. *daily specials to change it up for frequent customers like me... *no liquor license, so be prepared to drink house wine. It's good though *romantic atmosphere -nice and dark, with lit candles at every table. *I brought a group of 25 to this restaurant a few years back, and Piadina orchestrated the dinner beautifully. I was so... More

Piadina is definitely a neighborhood gem. When I saw the restaurant as I was heading down west 10th I felt like i was in Italy. I tried the piadina bread with mozzarella and tomatoes which was average and basically tasked like a quesedilla. The chicken with broccoli rabe was good though not as flavorful as it could have been with... More

This restaurant is unassuming but a great find in the Village. It has a relaxed feel and the food is great, the prices are good too.

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
