Cozy yet vibrant little spot tucked away - we enjoyed great service and great food. Fresh homemade pastas with rich sauces - so delicious! The bean bruschetta appetizer is great, as were all the apps we tried among our table. Beet salad, sea bass ravioli, tuna 'salad', polpetta. The pasta entrees were huge...not one of us finished our portion. Somehow... More

It's restaurant week in Manhattan. So, we booked lunch at Po's expecting good service, soft music and a delicious lunch. All we enjoyed was the food. It was delicious. The loud playing Rock n Roll music was a little too much after listening to Bill Haley, Elvis and many singers & groups from the 50's & 60's. There weren't any... More

Discrete, romantic Italian restaurant, with terrific food. I love how it is not an obvious touristic spot, but its an essential in the city

Back when Po opened in the 1990s it was virtually impossible to get a seat in this charming, tiny eatery that helped start Mario Batali's career. It still is as good as ever (maybe better) and while a reservation is suggested, it isn't as hard to get in. Who knows how many restaurants have opened in closed over the past... More

We recently had a delicious lunch at Po. The frittata was one of the best we have ever had. But the service was terrible. We saw the waiter when we ordered and when we were given the bill. Neither time was he friendly. When we were there the restaurant was empty, but the waiter acted as if we were imposing... More

Stumbled on this place as our recommendation was closed. Had an amazing meal, fantastic pasta and braised duck ragu. Would recommend to everyone. Also fantastic service.

Went the first time as a couple and took friends along this time. This small restaurant didn't disappoint. Great service, unique Italian menu and daily specials. Homemade pasta!! The seating is tight but of often is when the food is great. Fun street in a nice part of the village. Very enjoyable.

Gotta love it: small restaurant in West Village, not too many tables, all full, staff running around efficiently doing their jobs and excellent food coming out of kitchen... Heard about Pò and came for a visit on Saturday. Not long after being seated, their borlotti bean crostini hit the table. So tasty -- excellent start. We shared 2 appetizers. The... More

Po has been on my New York eats lists for years and I finally got to go last week and wasn't disappointed. Reservations are necessary but thankfully I got one on the day. Restaurant is small but comfortable and cosy. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Our waiter made some serious good recommendations and was really good fun which... More

Small but with a great vibe. Food was outstanding and the service was attentive. You will not be disappointed. These are experienced restaraunt people that know how to deliver the goods.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
