The atmosphere is is of the old gangster movies. The staff is great, service is great. The steaks are big but covered with way too much pepper and salt. It is not on par with some of the other steakhouses in NYC. The pricing is actually higher than some better steakhouse and not worth the price.

Excellent. Service. Drinks. Food. You. Can't go wrong eating here. If you can't a table the bar is great.

I love steaks. This is my favorite steakhouse in nyc. Service is professional and friendly, the food tastes like heaven and than you get that huge 24 layer chocolate cake that is a great finish to a wonderfull meal! Will never miss a dinner there while in nyc.

Have been to a few NYC steakhouses. Peter Luger in particular. My first trip to the Strip House. My daughter thought it was some sleazy nightclub. I had the 20 oz bone in rib eye and my daughter had the 14 oz bone in fillet. These people know their stuff. The waitstaff are also wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable and patient. A... More

Strip House is a wonderful, old-school, NYC steak house, serving generous portions of beautifully cooked meats, but this time, we stopped in a for quick drink at the bar. Staff were courteous and helpful and the choices were great. Never thought of it as a bar before, but made a nice change.

The food is pricey, but absolutely delicious. The lobster bisque is one of the most amazing I've ever had and the way they present it with the ingredients in the bowl as they pour the hot soup over it was a nice touch. The half-dozen oysters were fresh and tasty. The steaks were crusted in pepper and cooked to perfection.... More

We recently had an early dinner at the "speak easy" area of the Strip House. I understand that there's a lovely big dining room upstairs, which I didn't visit, but we loved the decor and ambience in the "speak easy" area, which is a few steps down from the sidewalk on East 12th Street. The staff was extremely welcoming, and... More

Why would anyone pay $50 for a steak covered in pepper? Having eaten there before, we were looking forward to enjoying a wonderful, well cooked meal. Unfortunately, our steaks were slathered with black pepper. REALLY? Why would anyone order a steak (especially one costing $50) covered with pepper? Haven eaten here before, it never occurred to us to specify NO... More

I've gone here 3 times now and it was a favorite from day one. The food here is just amazing. This is fine dining without the stuffy atmosphere. Great place to go with friends, family or business. I have tried something different every visit and everything was a hit.

A sultry steakhouse in New York City’s Greenwich Village where old-world glamour meets modern style and sophistication. Experience the combination of charred cuts perfectly paired with decadent sides, such as Truffle Creamed Spinach and Goose Fat Potatoes. And be sure to save room for the famed 24-Layer Chocolate Cake. Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction. Visit our second NYC location, the new Strip House Midtown at 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, or on the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
