There was nothing wrong with my steak or the atmosphere but in the end I've been to a few in Manhattan and this one didn't stand out in any way.

Remember Luger? The clean look? The attitude? The flavor? Well, two out of three ain't bad. The attitude is missing. The flavor and distance is between none of your thoughts. I ordered the steak for 2 and half plateau seafood platter. Delicious. The dirty martini left the mark of cleanliness not just burning sensation. We never ordered dessert and the... More

The food is excellent. The service is also very good. It is a very atypical NY steak house. I thought the bar tender was excellent. He knows how to prepare a Makers Manhattan. I think the decor is in need of a face lift. The duck fat potatoes were a hit but the main attraction was the steak which was... More

This spot down near Union Square is always on point. My go to when I want a steak in the city. All of their cuts of meat are very good with my favorite being the rib eye. The bone marrow is a nice addition and the goose fat fried potatoes are amazing!! This place is always crowded so a reservation... More

This is what you imagine a steak house should be. And it is. Great drinks, service and food. From the moment I walked into the place, it looked, felt, and smelled like a steak house. The place is not cheap, but hey, this is New York. I ordered the New York Strip rare and rare it was, cooked to perfection.... More

In the endless debate about great steak houses and the best steak in NYC, the Strip House weighs in as a contender. Superb bone-in ribeyes for 2 or more and a bone-in filet merit title shots. You can go for business or for a romantic dinner. The place doesn't disappoint.

This place is for a fancy dinner, it's expensive but definitely worth it! My husband and I had the specials and they were delicious and plentiful! Atmosphere brilliant and wine list is extensive!

Located just a few doors down from our hotel the Strip House was the perfect choice to celebrate my 50th Birthday with family. In an eclectic setting the atmosphere was warm and friendly and the staff were exceptionally knowledgable and friendly. We booked our table through our hotel, City Club, who have a very good relationship with the restaurant. As... More

My husband and I were in New York on our honeymoon. We both love steak and on doing some internet research found this place. We weren't disappointed! We had a lovely bottle of red wine and the porterhouse steak with truffle chips. The steak was the best I have ever eaten. There was enough chips for at least 1 other... More

Another good steak house in New York. Here again I was a bit disappointed with the service as steak houses are quite pricey so I always expect a better than average service. The food was very tasty though.

A sultry steakhouse in New York City’s Greenwich Village where old-world glamour meets modern style and sophistication. Experience the combination of charred cuts perfectly paired with decadent sides, such as Truffle Creamed Spinach and Goose Fat Potatoes. And be sure to save room for the famed 24-Layer Chocolate Cake. Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction. Visit our second NYC location, the new Strip House Midtown at 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, or on the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
