Love love love this place. Keith McNally always gets the details right ... Perfect service, food classics cooked to perfection and a very well chosen wine list... On top of all of that... The best lighting - everyone looks like a movie star... Been going to this place for 6 years - never had anything other than a great night.... More

We took the dry-aged beef, a masterpiece on almost 1,3 kilos (45 oz) with bone, and it was excellent cooked, exactly as ordered and tasted wonderfully. Their homemade Bearnaise sauce was wonderful as well. They have a great selections of wine, both on glass and on bottle. For dessert we tried a chocolate soufflé, to share, which was a monster... This place really is a tavern and has outstanding atmosphere. You simply need to try their gourmet burger. It is out of this world.

Wonderful splendid burgers. Big dishes for steaks and plates. Good service, as can be expected at that price level. Will return for sure for another celebration.

Located in the village we boked a table 10 pm(!) rather late but the only awailiable with short notice.. Entered a totally crowde restaurant filled with people, very noisy, beeing 60 probably made me senior, age 25-35 seem to be average. Ordered what my daughter's tipped "the second best burger in the world" (haven't located no 1 yet..) Was not... More

My wife and I went to the Minetta Tavern on a Thursday at about 11:45 AM with no reservations, the doors open at 12pm on Thursday. Double check the hours on line but this restaurant is not open on Monday and Tuesday. There was a total of 5 people waiting to get into the restaurant right at opening. Dinner reservations... More

Went here for a Mothers Day lunch. Wanted to try the red label burger. It was very good, but small for $30. My husband and I tend to split a burger along with an appetizer. We easily could have eaten a whole one. Our appetizer was the bone marrow. Had probably had about 1 tablespoon total of bone marrow. I... More

Opportunity to go have a black label burger. Found it Bland. Under seasoned. Onions resembled mush. Not worth the $28.

I was the guest to be shown the surprises Village hides from the average out of town visitors and the choice was amazing. Yes there were some hiccups-small tables, on the pricey side, a sort of intimidating bouncer at the door, waiting at the bar even if you are 10 minutes early for your reserved time slot- but the overall... This is my first review ever on a site, and my disappointment was overwhelming enough to take the time. Burger was really poor, and extremely over priced. Atmosphere is fabulous, friendly people, just don't bother with the burger, Ralph Lauren's polo bar is the best burger in the city, hands down.

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
