This is arguably the best most authentic food I've ever had. My husband, who tends to be a snob about Italian food is in love and tells people all the time to go here! They make fresh homemade pasta daily, and make unique and creative dishes.

Attentive staff, an intimate dining atmosphere, and superb Italian dishes make this trattoria truly special. I had the seafood pasta with a spicy tomato based sauce. Very tasty!

On a friends recommendation we left uptown and headed to TriBeCa (Triangle Below Canal) which I also learned today 😂. Small, neat neighborhood place. Attentative staff. Nice wine selection by the glass and bottle. Super fresh pasta and sauce all made in house. Somewhat picky eating daughter loved the pasta with pesto (they gladly tailored to meet her wishes). Peoplino is a quaint little Italian restaurant in the heart of lower Manhattan. If you have ever dined in Florence, you will feel the flavor in Pepolino. Excellent informed wait staff and well prepared dishes. The wine list is extensive offering Tuscan wines at reasonable prices. If you can't wine and dine, just stop in for the ricotta cheesecake. It... More

We visited this restaurant whilst visiting NYC recently. We were a walk in during the mid week although I am sure given the quality of this place it may well be worth booking over weekends and holidays. The place is a delight, the restaurant is cosy and intimate in fact I noted with delight that the background noise level was... More

We went for lunch with a party of 10 including 5 kids. The service was incredible. We had a gluten allergy and our server was knowledgeable and helpful with foods available. The food was delicious and our experience was excellent!

I wanted to rate this place higher, but overall. our meal wasn't that great, with the exception of dessert. The ricotta cheesecake was the best we've ever had, absolutely delicious. We also had an amaretto panna cotta, which was very good. To start I had a butternut squash soup. I love butternut squash, but it was not a very good... More

To be honest, I was very disappointed with this place. I had high hope before coming here as I read many positive reviews online. I was not impressed. Service was a bit on the slow side. We had a booking but stood by the entrance for a good 10mons before someone even bothered to speak with and seat us. Food... More

Haven't been here in a while. When I come back they make you feel like family! Always delicious. Always consistent. One of my favorite places.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
