Quite possibly the best Italian restaurant in New York City. The ambience is intimate, with a certain old world charm. I believe the restaurant was a converted apartment. A great menu with spectacular dishes. The Polpettine di vitella was spectacular. Many of the other dishes are equally as excellent. This is a top notch restaurant, definitely better than any Italian... More

Sorry to say that I was disappointed by this restaurant. The food quality could best be described as average and definitely not 'fine dining'. I felt that it was overpriced for what was on offer.

Had a fantastic meal, all food was very fresh and the atmosphere felt very authentic and cozy. Service was fast and friendly and they are very accommodating. Pasta was certainly freshly made and the flavours blended perfectly. The ricotta cake was melt in your mouth delicious! Can't wait until I'm able to return!

My friend took me here promising the best cheesecake in the city...I have to agree: it's special! And special were also all the other dishes we tried in this cosy restaurant! I tasted Italy and felt like home!

We found this restaurant by accident whilst wondering around the city, so glad we did!! Pasta was lovely but what topped it was the cute atmosphere!! The staff were also good!! Definitely worth a visit!

We are visiting NY and met with other family members living in NYC at this restaurant for dinner on Aug 7. We sat on the second floor. Tables are placed so closely the back of my chair touched the back of the chair of another guest at another table. Pretty annoying to the both of us. We were the only... More

This charming restaurant manages to suit both families and couples alike. The food was amazing and had a homemade feel. The kids LOVED the lemon creme pasta. The attentive service had that invisible feel - anticipatory, unobtrusive and thoughtful. We've just added Pepolino to our 'must go to' list when in NYC.

It's unfortunately been too long for me to remember the exact dishes I ordered, other than the beef carpaccio as an entree. I just remember being very pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of the food. I've been to Italy, and this food did not disappoint. Probably one of my faves in the U.S.!

My husband and I were walking, when we came across this hidden gem. We sat outside where I counted only 6 tables, and I would say there were maybe 10 or so inside. What a beautiful, quaint little place. Not only that, but the food was beautiful, and we drank a lovely bottle of chilled white wine along with it... More

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
