Don't know quite why I'm writing this as Cones is crowded enough, but it ranks as one of the top five ice creams I've had and I've had lots of ice cream! The four of us had different flavors and all were terrific - the dolce de leche and pistachio were both the top of their class, but the Sabayon... More

We have been here many times. We make sure to visit when we are in the Village. The ice cream, sorbet and gelato is always fresh, made in house, and tastes amazing. They have a large variety of flavors and it's often hard to choose. Highly recommended.

This is the best Dulce de Leche wa had in a long time. The dark chocolate is excellent and the lemon is made from lemons squeezed on site. The same for the grapefruit. The owner is very friendly.

The perfect break for a hot and humid day, I walked in and immediately zoomed in on the dulce de leche ice cream. It looked different from every other dulce de leche ice cream i have ever had because it was darker and had chips. A Very pleasant surprise, packed full of exquisite flavor and very creamy.

First, get the Corn (and add cinnamon). It sounds so weird, and I wasn't sure about it, but it was delicious. I tried 4 different flavors and they all were great. I can't wait to visit again.

I took my daughter here for a day out in the city. I was blown away with how delicious this sorbet is. So many flavors to choose from. You can get a cone or cup. If no seats available you can walk the charming area while you eat. I can't wait to go back.

After a movie, my son and a friend came here for ice cream. We each had a small (not cheap @ $5 each) cup. We tasted a few flavors and settled on dark chocolate, peanut butter caramel, mocha chocolate chip and, yes, corn. All of the flavors were extremely good. Worth it for a treat.

After having the worst ever ice cream ever at Grom, we realized THIS was the place to be - the best artisanal ice cream. Cool flavors like corn, dulce de leche with chips, - first rate. Skip grom and come right here.

Limited sitting and no table service but this place is great for a walk by...they have all the standards and plenty of special flavors...very clean looking and the staff is friendly...Bottom line the ice cream is very good...which is the only reason to visit anyway.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
