Annisa's $ 115 five-course tasting menu is definitely worth the money and certainly competitive with (higher priced) tasting menus at other high-end NY gastronomic destinations. The seared foie gras soup dumpling is a fine example of Chef Anita Lo's French-East Asian fusion cuisine: a perfect blend of tastes! The miso cod was also very tasty. A fine selection of wines... Small restaurant, original lay out, flat decor. Good bar at the entrance. Service ok, food tasty, well prepared and serviced but flavors are a bit redundant. Not a killer. Reasonably priced for its target. If you like an asian touch on french dishes go for it.

I was here last night with my family and a dear friend, who chose Annisa for us. It started wonderfully, as we arrived first and had a drink at the cozy bar. We came early and I love the fact that this is a New York restaurant that you can actually have a conversation in - yes! Quiet, romantic, beautiful,... More

Annisa has been my dining "to-do" list for quite some time, ever since I first saw it's chef/owner Anita Lo talking about food on TVMy hubby and I finally booked it for a recent summer evening. It's a very small restaurant, so reservations are a must. We got seated on a banquette side-by-side. I felt like we were in a... More

I ordered buffalo steak, thought it was a gimmick and it was indeed a buffalo meat. Chewy but great taste

This is a special place. Have had dinner here twice. Once with a friend and one with just family. Ordered the tasting menu and they accommodated all of quirks (many) without a blink of an eye. Wonderful innovate food that is well executed and well presented. Perfect staff and a lovely place. Don't miss

Arrived 30 minutes late and they couldn't have been more accommodating . Very nice subdued and intimate dining room. We took the 7 course tasting menu. All dishes were outstanding and some were truly memorable: the sable fish in a midi broth, the soup dumpling with foie gras, the veal tongue and sweat breads and an amazing bread pudding. A... More

Annisa has been one of our favorite restaurants in Manhattan for sometime - generally for special occasions a few times each year. On this occasion we took two friends who had not been there before but had heard good reports from us and others. Without exception, we were all very disappointed - and perplexed. The service, as always, was impeccable,... More

Excellent menu options and service that was top notch. Attentive and cordial waitstaff that allowed you privacy to carry on your business. Nit a large space yet high ceilings and sound absorbing materials allowed normal conversations.

We really appreciated the different courses that were presented to us in the tasting menu. The Asian flavors found in the different dishes surprised us in a positive way. The overall experience was not up to other restaurants in this range. The service lacked professionalism. The different waiters didn't seem to know much about the wine and food or maybe... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
