Truly delicious meal at the quaint Tartine. The grilled chicken sandwich might be one of the best things I ate on my entire trip- if that's even possible. Even better- BYOB. Small spot, they don't take reservations but food comes out pretty fast so you won't have to wait long.

Came across Tartine as we were wandering through the Village. Saw high Yelp ratings and went for it. Everything we had was amazing. We had the sautéed chicken and spicy chicken, which were phenomenal. Service was excellent. The dessert offering was impressive, but we were too full. Be warned, cash only.

We discovered this restaurant by chance. Small establishment good service and good food. The restaurant does not have an alcohol licence so you have to bring your own beer or wine. By the time we left there was a large queue outside.

We had Sunday brunch here and thoroughly enjoyed our delicious food. They also accommodated our food requests (such as switching from eggs benedict to scrambled on a particular plate) and the food was served promptly. The restaurant truly feels like a Parisian bistro on a side street. The dessert case was so tempting that we returned later tat day for... More

This was our last day in New York city and while walking around we found this quaint little restaurant on the corner. Maybe 16 people can fit in the dining area. I had eggs Benedict with Gravlax and potatoes. Perfection! My boyfriend had the omelet and said it was the best he has ever had. Bring cash they don't accept... More

Found this gem in the Village. Corner spot with a few tables inside and out. The Sunday morning was so nice we sat outside. They open at 10am we got there about 10:30. Menu had all inclusive meal, coffee and orange juice for $18. We enjoyed 2 poached egg with homemade hash skillet with sirracha sauce and I had the... More

Had a late night dinner. We ordered two different kind of chicken plates and was served food for a week. For starters we shared a charkuterie plate -ish and we got a mountain of salad as well as in the entrees. This place do not serve alcohol but u are welcome to bring your own bottle of wine! Very cozy... More

Cute little local french bistro with exceptional food! Must order the Boucher a la Reine at lunch or dinner and the potatos at breakfast. The sauces are incredible! Go earlier this place gets crazy busy and it is tiny.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
