We celebrated the new year at Babbo’s on New Year’s Day ( yes, open New Year’s Day!) We had wonderful fettuccine with truffles followed by branzino that had a superb lemon sauce and homemade chocolate gelato for dessert. Complimented with a great Barolo recommended by...More

We enjoyed our appetizer (with sardines) tremendously along with our entrees. Gnocchi was superb, however, sauce was a bit sweet for me. Sons ravioli was decadent and our dessert off the charts. Loved this restaurant as much as I enjoy the West Village.

Italian fair at its finest . The reason this lost a star and it’s a bit picky but our table was up the back next to the kitchen thoroughfare looking at the staircase . Saying that the food is to die for . You are...More

Forget what you heard. This used to be gem of the Village is now akin to eating in a train station. The grunge garage band music is so incredibly loud any chance of romance or a pleasant night with friends is off the table the...More

I was excited to come back to Babbo after many years, but was disappointed with the experience. We ordered the pasta tasting menu and were excited to try several of their amazing pasta dishes, but found that the timing was too rushed to enjoy it....More

The food is really decent, but not the level of quality and taste that I was imagining. There are some great Italian places in the city, that offer an ambiance and service that knocks your socks. This wasn't one of them. its over priced, and...More

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.

I actually think nice jeans are o.k. but I saw a mixture of outfits. I didn't think the music was loud at all but they were playing jazzy music at first and then other classic lighter rock that I enjoyed. I thought the food... More
