First of all, the restaurant was so crowded, loud and noisy since i walked in. How they design the entire restaurant made me depress, the tables are too small and they are not comfortable. The service was ok, nothing special i was expecting something more for a expensive restaurant. The food so so, the pasta alla chitarra was pretty good.... More

It is challenging to find a restaurant that offers the the quality foods and wines found her at Babbo. Mario Batali is the best. Like to sit at the bar as it becomes a social spot.

I had been wanting to try Babbo for a long time - and was finally able to snag a dinner reservation. Service was generally excellent but a bit inconsistent (one moment superb, the next moment slow). Likewise, the food was generally excellent but a bit inconsistent - my mozzarella appetizer was very over-peppered and the squash that it came with... More

I have been a fan of Mario Batali for years and received the Babbo cookbook a few years ago as a gift, so on a recent family trip to NYC I couldn't pass up the chance to visit. Lives up to the hype. Family friendly; my 3 kids were enthralled by the impeccable service and great Italian food, from the... More

We had the pleasure of dining at Babbo this week. I must say that the restaurant fully lived up to our expectations. The food was wonderful the service exceptional and the comfort of the restaurant e.g. noise level, pace of meal etc were great. We had a party of 4 and we all ordered a variety of appetizers, pastas, and... More

Just finished having lunch at Babbo and I must say we were disappointed ! Although the food and atmosphere was good our service was disappointing! Our waiter never came back to see if we were enjoying our meal! My husband and I both had a pasta course to start. I had the gnocchi which was light and delicious but was... More

Great atmosphere but service and food just so so. Our server was very nice but must of also had tables down stairs bc he wasn't around much. The bolanase was fine but nothing exciting and the strip steak was just ok. We did enjoy the tomato salad and liked that the cucumbers were slightly pickled.

Cozy and lovely but noisy. Unfortunately, and as much as I hate to say this because we really wanted to like this place, food was very disappointing. We expected a whole lot more. First, we have to say lack of quality. My pasta was more undercooked than al dente. Second, service was average. We have experienced more attentive service in... More

Worth the prices! Came here with another couple for dinner. While expensive, we received a free app from the chef and all the food was delicious. I started with the mussels which was a large portion served with an amazing broth. As my main course I had a pasta dish (they would split a pasta dish for two people as... More
