Great and not so great

Babbo has been on my list to try forever. My wife had squid ink pasta with botarga. Unfortunately it was a bit tasteless. I had truffle ravioli which were very good but a bit under stuffed. The panacotta I had for desert was absolutely astounding. It was light and bright and I wish I... read more

I went to celebrate a friend's birthday. From start to finish it was an excellent experience. From the cocktails to the wine and to the dinner everything was just perfect. I highly recommend.

It was a delight to return to Babbo after a break of 10+ years. The service is friendly and the atmosphere welcoming even if the music is both a little loud and eclectic in selection. We booked a 515pm table as it was the only thing available and when we got there the place was already rocking The food is... More

We ate at Babbo as a party of 4 for a family get-together during a weekend in NYC. As several of us were not very hungry for a full dinner, we ended up doing two courses. All of the food we tasted was excellent, and the highlights had to be the goose liver ravioli, as well as the pumpkin Lune.... More

We had been excited to eat here again as we had very good memories from two years ago. Unfortunately the evening did not live up to our expectations. The restaurant was full to overflowing, so perhaps others will not agree, but we found the lighting very dim - difficult to read the menu and the music was so loud that... More

I love the intimate setting that Babbo provides. The decor is warm and cozy and the environment makes you feel so special. The food was divine. I am a pasta and meat lover and they both were superb. The service is unparalleled.

We have been coming here for years and love the food, wine, ambience and service. The arugula salad is fresh, plentiful, and light. Very good! We often get a gluten-free pasta with a mushroom, truffle sauce and it is sensational! The branzino is wonderful, too. We are especially delighted with the gluten-free dessert options. To be able to enjoy cheese-cake... More

We went to Babbo last Tuesday for dinner - me and my wife . 13th anniversary of our first date ! Everything was perfect - the sea scallops that my wife ordered were unforgettable. Prices ok, except for the wines - a little bit expensive. But ... it is a dinner at Babbo ! Don't forget to book in advance... More

This is a very popular dining spot so if you plan to go, make your reservations WELL in advance. I found the restaurant to be loud, music way over the top, banquets small. I read other reviews that mentioned the portion sizes so I was not expecting sizeable portions. I started with the sardines and then realized why others had... More

Extremely dissapointed with this place. I won't go on a rant and spell everything out, but I will say I had my first experience at sending something back. Probably the least picky person I know when it comes to food, but I was less than happy with the flavors and the overall experience. Definitely won't go back, but give it... More

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
