I arrived late after a jazz concert nearby I ordered a glass of red wine and a roasted chicken The wine reach me soon and was enjoyable if not great The chicken was juicy and the serve was ample On the side I got layered potatoes slices which was very nice Overall it does the job

Came across this restaraunt whilst walking through Greenwich Village with friends We had the tapas and everything was very good For lunch a couple of dishes each was sufficient - possibly 3 would be needed for dinner Delicious proper lemonade freshly made was a welcome drink on a hot NY day Would recommend

Came across this while sightseeing in Greenwich Village, We stopped for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the ambience of this little restaurant. The food was excellent, particularly the tapas dishes - two per person are more than enough.

Came here with my family and friends for dinner. I liked the Gambas and Paella. The rest of the food were also okay. Ambiance and service was also good and we all enjoyed it.

We went to this restaurant expecting great spanish food and loved every minute of it! We started with a spicy tableside guacamole that was very tasty and followed it with an octopus tapas which was the most tender and flavorful we'd ever had...anywhere. the "cocas " which was like a thin pizza had shaved asparsgus, arugula, thin sliced ham and... Located in the heart of Greenwich Village on 4th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues, Tio Pepe has a wonderful ambient and delicious food and drink. You could share a chicken salad and Mexican pizzas and make a meal of it. But just get one or the other and try the delicious entrees. Our wine by the glass was good.... More

A friend and I came in for brunch on a Sunday at around 12:30. We had a Travelzoo deal, which included one entree each, and unlimited mimosas or bloody Marys. The place wasn't completely packed but starts filling up when we left around 2ish. For my entree, I went with the Torta de Pollo (pulled chicken, avocado, black beans and... More

On a late Friday night place was dark, noisy and packed. But our sizable group was quickly ushered to the back room where we proceeded to have a very nice almost private party. As it was rather late we mostly ordered appetizers and drinks. The chicken and beef skewers were very good, grilled octopus so-so, but the calamari was excellent.... More

We were in NYC for the day and a friend had recommended trying Tio Pepe. We were able to get a reservation within 30 minutes of when we called and were promptly seated near the front windows, which slide open on nice days for an "open air cafe" sort of feeling. The food is Mexican but you certainly won't confuse... More

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
