When you walk in the door the fresh smell of cheese hits you and that is fantastic. I just sampled different cheeses. They do have a large assortment for any tastes and a small menu for food. If you need a cheese, this is a...More
Why does unhealthy food taste sooooooo good? At the recommendation of my daughter (who sent me a video of the cheeses used in the toastie - or "melt" as they refer to it here), I wandered off to Bleeker street. The whole area was buzzing...More
Murray’s Cheese is a super delicious stop for cheese lovers! The selection of cheese they have is incredible, and they will let you sample too! If you love cheese like me, head straight down to Murray’s next time you’re in NYC!
Signed up for this 2 hours experience after hearing rave reviews from friends who had attended the wine and cheese course. I’ve lived in NYC over 40 years and I know their cheese shop is the best but, unfortunately this course does not live up...More
Welcome to a fantasy park made of cheeses and gourmet delicacies like you've never witnessed. Do not go here hungry or you will have to hire someone to help you to a taxi with all of your purchases. A Greenwich Village landmark for almost 80...More
Murrays is legendary for their knowledge and selection of International cheeses - they deserve all the praise they get.
Do not leave this place before ordering the basic grilled cheese sandwich. Take it and walk down Bleeker with it. Akin to walking through Paris with...More
We stopped in to Murray's Cheese to kill time waiting for friends to join us. My 16yo son loves to try new, interesting cheeses and this place was Nirvana for him! We ended up getting an old favorite and a new taste, at the suggestion...More
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.

There are a few locations. For the one that hosts classes, you should look at 254 Bleecker St., bet. 6th and 7th Aves. While they host classes that feature wine tastings, the instructors mentioned that they do not sell the selected wines. Rather, as they do, we can purchase them from Astor Place Wines, at 399 Lafayette St. There's also Murray's Cheese Bar, which is a restaurant of sorts, at 264 Bleecker St., on the same block. Their menu does feature wines, sold by the glass. The remaining locations, I'm unsure.
