Great spot

I arrived at Stella with quite low expectations bearing in mind it was a trattoria in a department store, but it was very good. Friendly and helpful staff, a lovely bright room with massive windows overlooking NY - it's on the 6th floor of Macys....It has contemporary artwork -I was looking at a wall of "kind" caricatures. I had the wagyu ragu with pasta and it was absolutely delicious. They serve large portions, someone nearby ordered two of their small plates with some bread but when it arrived i think it could have fed three people. Delicious, i would definitely go again.More

Very good Italian.

Very good Italian. I had a Diavola pizza, really good, and my friends had a lasagna (also looked great).

Ok-but not an authentic Italian

Food was good, little overpriced but this is not a true Italian restaurant. One, no bread offered?? And two , too open and uninspiring for an Italian

Nice place

Stella 34 sits at the top of Macy's in Herald Square and has it's own direct elevator. The food is good, and with plenty of seating and excellent service, Stella is a great place to meet up with friends.

Inspiring

Worth the wait during Christmas shopping. I ordered one of the small plates (Carciofini) & it was perfect. Will I be able to find baby artichokes & robiola cheese to make this myself? Doubtful. I'll need to return! My husband loved his chicken pagnottella sandwich,...also.More

Oasis

Amid the chaotic scene in & around Macy's at 34th Street, this sleek trendy bistro is an oasis of civility & very good food. The bar is sleek & appealing & the menu enticing. An express elevator takes guests directly to the site & service...was cordial. On the downside conversation was hampered by the loud music & tables placed too closely together. Finally I wondered if there had been a casting call for two of the gloomiest (rude?) hostesses in all of Manhattan, who apparently have been instructed never to smile.More

Great Lunchmenu with a view

We are always on Macys every year we are in New York and so also this year. Normally we go out for lunch but this time we decided to stay "inhouse" and try their Trattoria. Good choice ! A lot of different Italian dishes för...lunch, all very good. And the wine by glass was also a very good choice together with superb dessert. Good service also so all in all a perfect lunchplace if you are shopping at Macys.More

All average! service, food, space and of course also the price / quality ratio. The recepcion was in the care of two maids who clearly hated what they did. Our choice: spaghettini and risoto. The first good, although the pasta was overcooked. the risotto was...poor, tasteless and with a terrible look that looked more like porridge. Pleasantly surprised

Pleasantly surprised by the flavorful food at this restaurant located in Macy’s in New York. We had their three course special and it was magnificent. I ate every morsel. I had the sea bass and my husband had the steak. I would definitely recommend this...place and plan to visit again. For the price it is certainly worth it and then some.More

For a beach resort we can recommend Atlantic City,s Trump hotel Taj Mahal. It's about 3 hours bus drive fron port auth. bus terminal. Enjoy your vacation
