Building is being demolished. There is nothing there. Alternatives are Elie's on Madison Avenue and East 93rd St. or Corner Bagel Shop on Third Avenue and East 93rd St.

I had been here once before after they just opened but it hadn't really made an impression. Decided to give them another try because they've received largely positive reviews and its one of the few/only places in manhattan to serve Malaysian food. We went at peak time on a friday night and the place was absolutely jam packed. It was... More

Ate breakfast here each day while staying at the Courtyard nearby. Really great bagels and a great selection of other foods.

This discreet looking bagel shop has every bagel type imaginable with every possible spread and filling. Fast, clean, good service for eating in or eating out. Convenient to the Marmara Hotel and Residence at 94th and 2nd.

We recently went to New York in December and Bagel Express was just around the corner from our hotel. We stopped here for breakfast most mornings and I was just in awe at the selection of bagels and fillings you could choose from. Would like to think we tried a good selection of food including pancakes, French toast and of... More

A friend directed us to this bagel shop because it is close to her apartment. Our goal was to get real New York bagels and boy, did we succeed! They have 16 varieties of bagels and numerous cream cheeses. They also have other foods, but we only tried bagels. We walked there 2 days in a row and even took... More

I live nearby, and my friends and I have lovingly dubbed this place, "Hangover Express", because there is no better place to get a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel in the afternoon on the UES, and possibly the whole city. My vegan wife regularly enjoys their tofu cream cheese, and they have dozens of other flavors. They... More

I was staying at an apartment next store so would go in every morning for coffee and a bagel. Coffee was perfect and the bagels were the best I have ever had: loved the onion toasted with chipotle cream cheese. I found the staff very friendly and it was a VERY busy place for sure. I've never seen so many... More

Bagels are good and delivery is always super fast. You don't want to go in there on a Saturday or Sunday like most bagel places but the delivery is super fast! They have good tofu cream cheese options and blueberry bagels which I've come to love! Good coffee but no soy milk.

Have been several times and love it. There is sometimes a line, but it moves quickly. About 10-15min. The also have a lot of coffee and tea options.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
