My daughter and I ate here about 2 weeks ago on a Saturday for lunch and we were NOT dissapointed. The restaurant does not have servers. You place your order and continue walking down the food line for sides and drinks. Excellent though! We ordered a single serving of Brisket and a single order of Burnt Ends, 1 small side... More

I went to Mighty Quinn's on a rainy tuesday for some take out. It was almost completely empty. The counter staff was friendly and efficient. The cook however had some problems. I ordered half a chicken, cole slaw and corn fritters. The chicken was already cooked, and the cole slaw was ready but the poor woman behind the counter had... More

Wanted to try good barbecue food while in New York. Expectations well exceeded. The food was so tasty. No table service here and you have to cue at the counter, but totally worth it! Check it out!

Was craving for pull porked and brother brought me to this place for lunch. Place was quite quiet and I was a little skeptical of their food. Ordered the pulled pork, baked beans and ribs and boy, the good is super yummy!!! Love, love, love it!!! I passed by this place on another evening and the place was packed!! Hence... More

I don't think I will be able to eat another rib without comparing it to this one. We ordered the single serving pulled pork and the $28 brontosaurus rib. It was worth every penny. It's about a pound of the most tender meat that you could pull off the bone. The vinegar based sauce was delicious. It was not too... More

The food was amazing. I got the beef brisket and an extra broccoli salad. Amazing melt in my mouth amazing. But the entire ordering process put a bad taste in my mouth. Like they couldn't be bothered to be there... and when I asked if they had ginger ale... they were like "yeah..." and just pointed as if I should... More

I was interested in trying a lot of their meats so I got beef brisket, pulled pork, a sausage, some pork ribs and a small sample of burnt ends that was thrown in for free. I asked for moist brisket but I'm pretty sure what I was given was from the flat, not from the point. It was a bit... More

Our need for warm winter food was satisfied at the uptown Mighty Quinn's. The only place I would go to for baked beans and squash. Their local beer on tap is also great. I prefer the downtown one for atmosphere as you have students and young tech people from the Uni down there, so it's lively. No lively atmosphere in... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
