I had a veg sicilian. No cheese and flavorless tomato sauce. BUT- I absolutely loved it because the dough was thick, soft, chewy like garlic bread. And the veggies were fab. Black olives, shrooms, brock, spinach, peppers. Like a veg sandwich with tomato sauce on thick, hot, soft bread. I was on a cloud in heaven! Otherwise, the slices are... More

I wouldn't consider this NY pizza, it was more a boardwalk style pizza. We thought it was good value since $25 got us a pie and drinks. Hopefully next time we are in the city we will find someplace better.

It's a great place to take away your pizza or sit at the table with your large pizza slice. We ordered one slice of mushroom pizza and oh boy! It was the best slice of pizza which we ever had. Will definitely be back!

Visited Famous Original Ray's Pizza at their Chelsea location. The staff was nice and helpful, and the pizza was good but not exceptional. I would visit again if passing by but probably wouldn't seek it out. A solid option though.

Great NY pizza, I'm from NY and this is NY pizza. I order in a pie at least once a week from this spot, most Famous Rays are terrible rip offs of the original, but this one serves a real pie. I've also taken out and the family who owns (or runs it) are very friendly.

From the outside, one can think that it is just another pizza restaurant. The difference lays with the people working there: they make you feel welcome!

While in New York City, I wanted to try some authentic New York style pizza. This place sure quenched my appetite for New York pizza. The pizza was huge and it was flavorful. Service was fast and the employees were friendly and efficient. I'd definitely return to this restaurant the next time I'm in town.

Good old fashion place for take out pizza. Nothing fancy, just what you expect. May be a little overpriced but there's no alternative nearby.
