This is a very authentic Italian eatery in the Hell's kitchen area of New york. We lived just on the corner and it was a short walk for us. It was so busy but we didn't wait for food as the service was great. The food was amazing. The home made bread was to die for.

My daughter and I were in NYC for a week over spring break and we went to Tavola initially because it was recommended by the front desk at the hotel. Because of the snow, the staff was very limited and the menu was pizza only. What a happy accident, otherwise I may have never ordered the "Isolde." Lemon slices and... More

I was in the neighbourhood and was drawn into the place by the atmosphere. I had the gnocchi at the bar with a glass of wine. I was alone on a business trip, but felt great being in there. The cannoli for the dessert was the best I have ever had. One of those older NY restaurants that just keeps... More

Great little Italian restaurant for pizza and whatever else you're in the mood for. The pizza was delish with a very thin crust and yummy fixings. We had the Margarita & wild mushroom with sausage. Wait staff is very friendly with fast service.

We found this little Italian jewel two blocks from our hotel. Having lived in Italy for many years, we were very comfortable in this small restaurant. We arrived the day of the big snow and not much was open. They could only offer pizza as most of the staff could not get in to work. Pizza was fantastic. We returned... More

We went craving a good Italian meal and that's exactly what we got. It's a great little restaurant with DELICIOUS pasta and good wine to wash it down with. Will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed this place. In fact during a 10 day business trip I actually ate there 3 times. It is a great casual atmosphere, the staff are extremely friendly and the food is delicious. What more can you as for. If you go sample some of their imported cheeses. The staff will glad assist in pairing up nice wine... More

Chose Tavola for pre-theater dining and was not disappointed. We had the pappardelle and gnocchi - both were amazing! Don't skip the Belgian chocolate espresso mousse - yum! The service was attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back when in NYC.

We ate there while in town for business. It was busy on a Tuesday night. We sat at a common table, and had a nice conversation with some Swedish people next to us. The staff is friendly, the food is very good and reasonably-priced (for NYC). There is a large common table, a number of 2 and 4 tops, and... More

This cozy little Hells Kitchen specializes in delicious northern Italian dishes with a heavy emphasis on wood fired pizzas, pastas. The place is small and crowded, but the food and service were amazing. The lasagna was a real winner. Will definitely be back!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
