We dined at El Toro Blanco where we met up with local friends. We had delicious guacamole as an appetizer. For dinner we had the tostada salad with shrimp and pork tacos. The sides were fabulous--street corn, rice, black beans and plantains. For dessert we...More

We arrived promptly for our reservation and our table was ready(a good first sign). Three of us shared a pitcher of Margaritas and another had a specialty cocktail that substituted Vodka for Tequila. The restaurant is very accommodating, two of us wanted changes to the...More

Visited on busy Saturday evening, no reservation. Great for people watching. Prompt service. Food was well presented, meat cooked to perfection.

The chips were thicker than some others I've had but salty and good. I had swordfish tacos which were very good, along with brussel sprouts that were amazing. Topped off the meal with a Negra Modelo beer. Service was also good.

Great guacamole, great chicken tamales, great fundido (but no need to take shrimps, there were 3 at most in my dish; standard cheese fundido is much cheaper and essentially the same). Service is efficient but not warm at all.

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
