Service: Our group of 6 were seated at a table big enough for maybe 4, even though the place was empty. While placing our order, the server kept pushing us to order more - despite it being more than enough food. As soon as we...were done placing the order, he comes back to tell us that we can't drink the coffee we walked in with, and reaches out to grab/snatch our cups while he is talking.
Our first appetizer arrived, and we asked for another order seeing the portion size (it was tiny), and then changed our mind almost immediately on tasting it (underwhelming). The server first said that it couldn't be cancelled because the kitchen had already started prep, in the 10 seconds it took us to change our mind. On insisting, he brought a manager who then asked us for an explanation and obliged begrudgingly. At the end, the second order (that we cancelled) still ended up on our check, and required us to point it out to them to fix. Which they did again, begrudgingly - and without an apology for their mistake.
Food:
Lall Mass ($35) - Lamb cooked in tomato paste. The lamb was perfectly cooked, but the curry itself was very average and lacked the very spice it derives its name from.
Chicken Lollipop - There was barely any chicken meat, lacking in spice.
Shrimp Piri Piri - Shrimp in tomato paste.
Chicken Tikka Masala - The curry was good, but they used chicken cubes instead of regular meat, which spoiled the consistency of the dish.
Hakka Noodles - This was good, would recommend.
Chicken Manchurian - Again, this was good.More
