We had lunch here the other day. We had to wait about 30 minutes less then they thought. We sat outside under the heater watching the world walk by. The menu is unique. We all loved the options. Loads of veggies on the menu. Between us we tried most. The chicken cutlet is a great addition to any plate. The... More

Westville will make your mother proud. The focus is unapologetically centered on vegetables, and good ones at that. A laid back stop for any meal really it delivers fresh and relatively healthy fare. It cleverly toes the line of comfort food and healthy standby.

Fab fresh food and a great atmosphere. Gets busy so be prepared to wait for a table - but once you are in the service is relaxed and friendly. Great options for veggies, vegans and carnivores alike. One of my kids favourite dining experiences since we've been in the States.

Friendly, hip corner restaurant in the East Village section of Manhattan. The food is creatively prepared and fresh. Great marketplace vegetables and very special homemade desserts. Definitely recommend.

Really good breakfast selection. Tight space but we managed. Really nice staff - the girl didn't want me to have to pour out my drink so she brought me a store cup and said "I gave you that coffee, right?". Sweet kid.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
