The food is fair and the service is okay. Its full of very very loud people and it gets a little messy. The management has no control and caves. A great place to go to get really crazy and get away with it. They seems to like it.

We came in here for a drink on a cold Sunday evening, which turned into many cocktails with the friendly crowd. We never saw a cocktail menu, just ordered what we wanted and the knowledgeable barman provided great examples, with the option for us to each pick which brands of spirits we wanted him to use. When we wanted blue... More

Came in to catch the second half of the Pats game... Good Choice! Big TV's, great beer selection and good, quick food. Super-friendly bartender providing attentive service (no waiting for the next round:) Good crowd but not too loud that you couldn't talk.

Although I was in a bit of a hurry, I still had a nice lunch. The outdoor seating was still open, and the street traffic wasn't bothersome. The wait staff was responsive and helpful.

This review is based on drinks only. This is a very upbeat place with EXTREMELY LOUD music playing all the time. (Full disclosure I'm 56) They have the typical large selection of drinks. The staff were all very friendly. The customers appeared to be a combination of business people and 30 something's.

During our visit in NYC we had the pleasure of having this bar as one of the most near of our hotel. First night we just looked for a quick drink and small bite. Friendly bartender made our night, so when we tried to find something more special eventually we went back to Rogue as nothing else looked even close... More

Did the long walk to take in the New York vibe/atmosphere, Upper East Side all the way down to South Manhattan to Ground Zero. 2/3rd of the way down and a good hour plus of walking we needed refreshing and stumbled across "Rogue" bar on Avenue of Americas. Great beer; local US lagers plus IPA, Guinness and even Newcastle Brown.... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
