I had lunch there with a party of 6 “ladies who lunch” before a matinee play. This is by far the busiest restaurant we been to in a long time. There are actually 3 levels. The street level consists of pub tables & a few...regular tables. The 2nd level is a smaller area with mostly round tables. The 3rd level is much larger with long tables for bigger groups, but also regular tables too. The waitstaff is very busy & but friendly & efficient. This not the place for a “quiet little corner table”, it’s noisy & busy but the energy is quite enjoyable. Most of us ordered from a prefix menu crafted for theater-goers & our food was very good with no complaints (from 6 women?). Bring your wallet ... prefix lunch, one glass of wine & tip will set you back a cool $60-65. BTW- this place is touted be a place where many actors hangout after theater.More

I just adore the chicken club. It's very tasty. My girlfriend likes the signature cocktails here with various names. I usually am able to get a last minute reservation on Open Table. Service here is good.

This spot provides incredible service, delicious food and wonderful hand crafted cocktails! Staff not to miss are Valerie, Sebastian and Carlos. They all went way out of bounds to ensure our experience was one to be treasured for years to come.

Had a short trip into the city for an afternoon show. Booked reservations on OpenTable. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant offers a good variety of cocktails and menu items. I had the chicken club which was very good...the bread was nice and light....Had a side of the rosemary fries. Very enjoyable. Want to go back for brunch some other time.More

This is the perfect place to have a nice lunch in a cozy atmosphere. The drinks were tasty, the food was delish, and the service was excellent. I will definitely return!

Friendly, informal, with fine, if not special food. There’s nothing not-to-like about Glass Door Tavern, and the prices and closeness to the theater are big pluses. Burata was fine, with a large and perfect piece of cheese, although it could have used more vinegar and...tomatoes. The paella was large enough but underwhelming in flavor and ingredients. The price fixe was a good amount of food; the filet (for an upcharge) tasted more like a sirloin, but it was tasty and well prepared. Our waitress was very warm and eager to please.More

Theater district restaurant gem. Great decor and good food. Not a large menu but the food is worth it.

This is the perfect place for an after theatre drink and snack. It is frequented by a lot of people in musical theatre. Good drinks and great service in spite of how crowded it can often be.
