About
Our story is sort of a love story, an a romance with this amazing neighborhood. When we first arrived and discovered the Village, we were so taken in with the community, the ambiance and the people. This ignited our dream of the neighborhood café, we wanted to contribute and give something back to the neighborhood as we felt we had received. The ball started rolling. We are happy that our dream has materialized and that we can be part of this awesome neighborhood, and make this Café the place you’ll feel good coming to, as we feel about all of you.

Scrummy breakfast with a healthy happy atmosphere. The staff were relaxed and creative, while the food was tasty and fresh. I had the Israeli Breakfast and it hit the spot. Thank you!

There’s no shortage of cafes in the East Village, but finding one that feels cozy and welcoming with a consistent, reliable internet connection and power outlets isn’t a given. I’ve tried several cafes around the East Village/Alphabet City and I’ve ended up at B Cup the most. B Cup Cafe has become my coffee shop of choice and not only because it was a few steps away from my apartment at the corner of Avenue B and 13th street. B Cup is a neighborhood cafe that isn't pretentious. They serve pretty good espresso drinks without a hint of coffee snobbery (their iced/frozen coffee come in carafes!). Their couches are old, but not purposely vintage nor do they make an attempt to match the decor. There’s a wooden desk that looks as if it could fall apart at any minute. B Cup isn’t perfect and that’s part of what is appealing to me. That’s not to say it isn’t a nice place to hang out. B Cup is nicely set up so that even when the cafe is full, it doesn’t feel cramped. The wireless internet works well and there are power strips located at the front and back of the cafe. if you’re looking for a cafe with just wireless internet and a power outlet, you can find yourself a Starbucks anywhere, but if you like your cafes with a little personality — check out B Cup.

We were walking around in the East Village and happened upon the B cup. Our server recommended several dishes that were absolutely delicious. The pancakes were great, the salad were also very good. But you gotta go for the coffee. It's absolutely the best. We stayed a very long time, speaking with the friendly staff and drinking several cups. It's a friendly place with great eats!

They seriously have the best coffee around! High quality, made perfectly every time. (I say this as a Swede who gags on most "coffee" in this country... ) Lovely energetic and polite staff and great food too! The first place to take someone who is visiting the area! You are welcome:)

We found this place more or less by accident, as it was close to where we were staying, but we ended up enjoying it so much we went back there a second time during our 4-day stay. The cafe has a very cozy and chill-out atmosphere. But after all we went there looking for breakfast, and here they have a wide range of options. The first day I had the Israeli Breakfast with eggs, hummus and Israeli Salad amongst other things, while the second time I tried their excellent sandwich menu and went for the Prosciutto option. Both choices were really good. As for drinks they both have great coffee and smoothie options. All in all a great experience.

Stopped in here quickly for a hot chocolate and loved the funky decor and chilled atmosphere. Lots of sweets and savories to choose from. Hot chocolate was nothing special so next time will have to try something else.

The outside hints towards an artistic heaven, but the inside is so full of furious laptop typing that my dreams were shattered. They do have incredible Tahini cookies and Ginger tea. The owners are friendly and accommodating. The menu appears original and adheres to their ethnic roots. But the customers create a hot and stressful environment. I would visit for a quick stop, but not a long stay.

Love the tuna avocado sandwich and the chicken sandwich. Great soy latte. I love the ambiance and it's worth the 9 block walk I take after moving from 13th st.

We stayed around the corner from B Cup for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed getting a morning coffee from here and for a treat the zucchini loaf! The place is funky and has a cool vibe. Coffee pretty good for around here - one of the better places.

East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
