We were at the 49th Street and Broadway location. Slow service, employees have no idea what they are doing. And the menu? It looks great, but they don't have most of what is on it! Will never return

Excellent selection and ample seating ruined by totally incompetent counter staff, cappuccino cups that were HALF full (are you kidding me!) and food items on the menu that were ordered and that were, apparently, not available. Not sure what the issue was but this place can NOT handle a crowd. We waited 25 minutes for an egg sandwich on a... More

Stopped by for a quick breakfast and they had a nice selection of pastries and more. I had a greek yogurt, fruit with a hot tea. All were good - better then starbucks. Great location and nice room in the back with plenty of seating

Stopped by around 1030 on a Sunday morning for a Latte (based on the great look of the space and their window signs advertising "good" coffee). While waiting in line for 20 min, the restaurant ran out of both bacon and sausage. When I finally made it to the counter to order, it took about 5 min for the woman... More

I absolutely loved this place, all bakery items were fresh, and drinks made freshly! The atmosphere at the back where the library is soooooooo nice!!! We stopped for breakfast a few times, not the cheapest but worth the extra for the atmosphere and food!

Service is very slow and it looks like the staff are not trained properly. The store itself is spacious and the food choices are getting better.

Fast service and good food. Everyone was friendly. There is a nice seating area to people watch. Good corner location near my hotel. The pastries looked fresh, and they had to go snacks as well. I had a breakfast sandwich, which hit the spot.

This is a beautiful cafe. Very retro. Lovely coffee. Good venue. BUT unhelpful staff. They lacked interest and were very slow. Nothing to write home about.

I usually stay at The Time New York hotel, just down the street. Instead of hitting the hotel restaurant, I come to Caffe Bene for my morning coffee and muffin or croissant. Very reasonable prices and I like the coffee better than Starbucks. They have an upstairs room with tables and chairs, but it's very overheated in winter. There are... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
