we went to celebrate national margarita day. they have mezcal margaritas as well, delish! esquite and tacos were really good, too, the taco de carnita was my favorite, closely followed by the camaron one. best dessert was the mexican chocolate brownie - to die for!...our waitress was super nice. saludos a la madrileña de las alemanas 👍🏻More

The food is good. Nothing extraordinary. The real experience is to go on Fridays to party. The only downside is that they close at 2 am.

Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever received. On top of that, it is impossible to reach them by the number provided on the website/google/opentable. I made a reservation for NYE weeks in advance. Spoke to someone on the phone who put me on...hold for about 15 minutes while they spoke to the manager to confirm a seating of 8 people. Weeks later I receive an email confirmation for 6 people. Couldn't reach them by phone for DAYS or email. Finally they called to confirm the incorrect reservation. When I told them it was incorrect, to their own fault, they said they would absolutely not accommodate us 2 DAYS BEFORE NYE. Not acceptable. The person told me I couldn't speak to the manager because she was handing NYE and would call me back in 20 minutes after she confirmed all other reservations. Never heard from her, couldn't call because I tried for 2 days with no answer and then received several confirmations for the incorrect reservation for days. Horrible that they wouldn't accommodate us from their own mistake and basically didn't care about it at all. Worst service ever. I've been to this restaurant multiple times for years - which the person calling saw my previous reservations - and they really screwed up our plans. Definitely not returning ever. Ps - still haven't had one response from my emails/messages and never got them on the phone. HORRIBLE.More

My girlfriend and I went there on a friends recommendation for a meal. Initially we ordered drinks which took ages to arrive and when they did the order was incorrect. Every drinks order we made came out wrong in some way, shape or form! It...then took them about 30 minutes from being seated to taking our food order, and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. The food was fantastic, particularly the shrimp tacos and enchiladas. The most disappointing part was that by about 2200 as the restaurant started to empty we were the only table remaining, and the staff started tidying up around us and gave us the impression they wanted us to go, and did not even offer us a desert menu. Overall food was great but the service really let the overall experience down.More

I went to the bar on a Friday night to have some drinks and while trying to get the attention of the barman he shouted back aggressively to "stop bothering him". We didn´t leave him any tip after that and he then refused to sell...us further drink the whole night (not even when our friends tried to order for us....ridiculous). Worst experience in NYC. Don´t come here for drinks.More

So amazing! Thought I was in the wrong place when my Uber dropped me off but once you get in and are downstairs it’s like a whole new world! Sangria is a must along with the guacamole.

Nice place, great music , decent food. Mostly friendly staff whole experience and night runined by an extraordonaly rude and aggressively threatening barctender. The most unprofessional and insulting hospitality experience of my life. After waiting for check for over an hour we went to bat...to ask again, I asked Shawn the bar tender again for the check again at bar. After watching him fiddle around with credit cards for another 20mins with no explanation of what was happening I assumed he either lost our credit card or couldn't swipe it due to a machine or card error . We wanted to know because if the later we were happy to pay cash as we had been waiting to leave for over 90 mins at this stage. So we tried calling him over numerous times to offer cash, he ignored us and refused to come over, leaving us mystified by the long long hold up and seeing him fruster with card over and over. Finally after continual pleading and asking two of his collegues to ask him to come and speak to us he came over and I learnt slightly over bar so he could hear due to loud music so he could hear to ask him what the problem was and offered cash if the card scanning wasnt working. He in an instant and for no reason, threatened myself and my female companion and got security to remove us whilst keeping my card with no explanation of what the problem was and whilst we posed no threat except wanting to finally pay our bill and leave . We had to wait outside for him to finally after over 90 mins of waiting to a swipe my card. The most aggressive , short tempered bar man I have ever dealt with. I have never in my life been escorted by security and in this case I was stone cold sober and my apparently threatening behavior was just wanting to pay, even pay cash if it speed things up for what I owed and leave. But aparently to a seemingly unstable bar man drunk on the power of having a bouncer at his beck and call was too much. Embarrasing, scary and mindblownly over the top, it runined an otherwose pleasant evening.More

We came here for a friend's birthday. First, it was 10pm and so the bar's bouncer would not let us in. He said it was becoming too crowded and we had to wait. Couldn't tell us anything more specific -- "could be 5 minutes, could...be an hour." Typical of places in this area, though. Once we went inside the place was fun enough. Good music and vibe, though the drinks are very pricey. Can't speak to the food as we didn't sit in the restaurant but the drinks were good.More

I had dinner with my boyfriend here on a Thursday night, full of people and loud-enough music to make you feel "It is going to be a great night". Tasty guacamole, crunchy Tostadas de atún, delicious Carnitas and Pollo Tacos and some Yuka frita as...a side and watered with two margaritas each We followed the tip of one of the waiters and ended in the club above, Apotheke, dancing to live latin music. TOP NIGHT IN NY!More

So, walking here is very interesting since it's a Mexican joint in the heart of China town but don't let that deter you. Besides, the walk alone will be an adventure of "where the heck are we going?"! Once inside - it's a dimly lit,...very cool ambiance. The entire table ended up getting different versions of the tacos and each person was very impressed. Coming from San Diego - we have a high standard for Mexican food and this place did not disappoint. The margaritas and guac/chips were also divine. If you want some delicious Mexican food in the city - highly recommend. It's a fun little place. Expect it to be noisy - this is for a more lively crew - not a romantic, candle lit date night. It was awesome for exactly what we wanted - to celebrate a birthday with 6 of us. AND - you can make reservations on OpenTable which is a HUGE plus.More
