We went there for the first time and we were completely awed by the hospitality and the food! Simply awesome food and the owner himself ensured robust service on each table! His passion was seen in the way he managed this place! A go-to place for sure.

Small restaurant but nice atmosphere. The service was outstanding - a server for every three tables or so. Very quick and courteous service. Best of all the food was out of this world - and we love and try Indian food all over the world. The owner was funny and a real class act. Very highly recommend if you are... More

We made reservations and we're seated promptly. This is small place which serves wine and beer. Appetizers were good. Main course were big. All main course comes with rice. Not too many choice for desert. Staff was attentive and friendly. Service was great.

A tiny interior but excellent service and savory dishes make this a favorite for locals in the neighborhood as well as tourists. Don't be surprised by reserve signs on the table. Try the chili cheese naan - you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I arrived on a Saturday night in February about 15 minutes before the restaurant closed. In our home town, the waiter would have blithely told us the restaurant was already closed and sent us on our way. Instead, we were promptly seated, even though there was only one other patron in the restaurant and the wait staff... More

Food is excellent - fresh and well prepared. Owner and staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed without being overbearing. Prices are reasonable. Although we didn't have a reservation on a busy night, they were able to seat our party of three within 25 minutes. I'll be returning very soon!

We turned up on the off chance we could get a table and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I eat indian food regularly in various cities and the food here was excellent. Great value for money too and great atmosphere.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
