Go to Brooklyn! PokPok NYC is no longer on Manhattan but has moved to the Brooklyn location of where PokPok used to be -- are you confused yet. Google is your friend.

The folks at Pok Pok know what they are doing. This is a "hole in the wall" east village restaurant run by the crew that run Pok Pok in Portland and Brooklyn. If you love good and authentic Thai this is worth a visit -...More

Reviewed this place before. It was wonderful. Not so great this time. Had the Pod Thai w/ shrimp and pork. Pod Thai can be just wonderful or very flat, this dish was a bit flat in taste. The vinegar drink was wonderful and worth the...More

This little restaurant serves "street vendor" style pad thai and similar dishes. In fact, with its stool seating and Thai crooners playing in the background, you might imagine for a moment that you'd been transported to Bangkok. I had one of the wide noodle dishes...More

As noted elsewhere, this is a small take out type place that serves variations on pad thai, served with or without pork (no chicken or beef). There is some stool seating. We visited on a saturday in the late afternoon, so we where the only...More

This place is my go to for Thai food, and it helps that it's in the neighbourhood. The Kuaytiaw Khua Kai and the Hoi Thawt are my faves, but you have to be comfortable with fish sauce. Also when you eat in they have a...More

The dishes I've tried here have each been over the top wonderful. This visit we had Kuaytiaw Khua Kai and the Phat Thai Thamadaa. No tables here! Just a stool and a board attached to the wall to eat upon. I wouldn't have it any...More

wings lived up to the hype, for max crispiness don't take out they get a little soggy on the road. Dining area is tiny and access is down a few steps side and soda's are a little odd

No longer Pok Pok Wing, this place now serves amazing pad thai. Extremely crowded with only about 12 seats, on tall stools, at narrow counters. I found the cramped quarters and wait for my food to be totally worth it.

Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving
immigrant past and its modern transformation into a
beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side
is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city.
The blocks of tenements that represented the promise
and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience
now command top dollar for new residents. Right next
to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment
