We really enjoyed our dinner at Heidi's House. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Everything we ordered was very tasty and cooked with great care. I loved the maccaroni cheese with porcini mushroom and truffle oil (definitely the best maccaroni cheese I had during my stay in NYC). Great selection of wine and beers. Go there!

Heidi's House is a charming, tiny respite from the mean streets of New York. My husband and I had dinner here and it was absolutely delicious. They even have specials that start around 5:30PM. $2 off wines and drinks and amazing "small plates." We enjoyed the fish tacos-delicious, mac & cheese-delicious, olives-delicious, crab dish-delicious AND both their desserts....chocolate souffle and... More

The place is small, dark and so cozy! There are only few tables and seats at the bar. The food is so tasty but a little bit overpriced. We took gnocchi, artichoke salad, mini tuna tartar and two glasses of wine and we paid 80$ (with 10$ tip). From 5 till 6 pm there is happy hour and there are... More

I took my friend here for her birthday and we left with a very big smile on our faces. The price is a bit expensive though. Dinner for two came out to be $118 and change and I tipped the guy $30 because he was working alone. The food is pretty good. I enjoyed all the things we ordered very... More

Limited menu means each dish is well thought out, delish and appealing. Wine and beer selection is great. Had a special artichoke salad and of course mac and cheese. Both super flavorful and well portioned for sharing. Thanks Freddie for a great experience. Feels like your at your friend's house for dinner. Best to call ahead - and see if... More

I recently dined at Heidi's House with my spouse and found that the food was indeed excellent. We had the Mac n' Cheese with lobster and the Hamburger. The wait service [Tommy the server did a fine job, was attentive to our table and delivered our food immediately after it came out of the kitchen] was perfect. Arguably, since there... More

If you get to sit (it's really hard getting the chance to sit because the place is small but people willing to eat here are so many) you're gonna have a great dinner...very tasty and original recipes...above all I suggest the tuna tartara, dressed with guacamole sauce !! I'll go there again no doubt !

This very tiny place has all the charm it could possibly muster. Although we only ate there once on our last trip to NYC, we will be back. There are only 4 tables and a few seats at the bar where you can also eat. The menu us eclectic and ethnically diverse. Everything we ate was lovely, full of wonderful... More

The menu is limited but always includes fresh and I assume locally sourced foods. Be prepared to wait and you may find the bar the only seating available as there are only a few tables - this is a very cozy establishment! Call ahead and get the "list", Heidi's House doesn't really take reservations. We visited in December 2014 and... More

What can I say? Can I give this place 10 stars? I did my research before going to NYC to find some hidden gem restaurants and found this place. Seats about 24 people and there's one waiter that does everything. He totally had everything under control, it was amazing. The macaroni and cheese is so amazing, oh my gosh! It... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
