I love Nai. I have visited several times and each is more fun than the last. The food and music are exceptional and reminiscent of the Cuevas in Madrid, Spain.

One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly. The sangria is to die for. Come in on Thursday and Saturday night for flamenco performance- it's an amazing experience.

After reading the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to head into Nai Taps bar. We were looking for something light to eat and a varied menu and hoped to find it here. We were sorely disappointed. We chose the Sea Bass. This was fried, truly ruining the delicate texture and flavor of the fish. The other selections that... More

Celebrated my birthday at Nai Tapas and had a blast! It was a Saturday night and the flamenco dancing was clearly the highlight of the evening. It really made the experience worthy of five stars. Beware, if its your birthday they will get you up on stage to dance with the dancers! The food was good but not outstanding. They... More

I cannot say how awesome the flamenco was. It was absolutely fabulous. Enlivening. Liberating. Vibrant. You gotta see it. The show is, I think, on Saturdays and Thursdays. Check their calendar and better yet, call them. We had a table for two, and during reservation I asked about the best table to watch the dance. Still, I was surprised to... More

We chose Nai Tapas Bar as it is nearby Theatre for a New City in the East Village, and had a very good tapas dinner. The dining room is on the smaller side, dark wood and dimly lit and the menu offered many choices served in small or larger plates. Of course we ordered many dishes and enjoyed all of... More

We had tickets for an 8:00 play nearby and went to Nai. Although I cannot vouch for its authenticity, we did find it delicious and not over priced. Portions were larger than I expected. I especially loved the Brussels Sprouts with pork belly and an orange sauce. We got there at 6:30 and were able to get a table. By... More

Came here on a reservation and had to wait 35 mins for our table. Table was tiny and wobbly and service, whilst friendly, was slow and disorganized. Food very average and sangria nothing special. Far too noisy too. Won't return and not recommended

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
