The New Venus Restaurant is the ideal place for late night/early morning quality diner-style food. The staff are friendly and quick, and will usually remember your order after two visits. My favorite dish here is a grilled-cheese and fried egg sandwich - it's amazing! Also the coffee is good and comes with refills.

Very nice diner. Staff all friendly and accommodating. Serve breakfast all day. Omelette and potatoes were excellent. Highly recommended.

Had a good hearty breakfast services by a pleasant waiter but experienced ruined by bossy lady (owner?) Telling me the dumb foreigner that 15 % tip was unacceptable and 20 % was needed. Avoid her like the plague

No Christmas joy here last night, Santa didn't visit here! just not good, I have gone here many times before and it was always a good regular New York Diner with nice friendly service, lots of hot coffee refills and a good buzz., but not last night........ grumpy waiter, cold food, broiled salmon steak was cold with cold veggies and both... Open 24/7 - I've eaten breakfasts & dinners there & generally have never been disappointed. This is primarily a Greek diner with a vast menu - something for almost every taste. For breakfasts I've had as little as a bran muffin & as much as an omelet that's served with fried potatoes & toast. The omelets I've had were always... More

This restaurant located on 8th Ave and 23rd St serves the food you would expect to find at most diners in New York. The servers are very friendly and the atmosphere is definitely Chelsea, however!

How did a small orange juice cost $7 and breakfast of scrambled, bacon and coffee for two end up at $27+. With prices like these I doubt this is a neighborhood favorite coffee shop even for New York City. Walk east on 23rd Street and you'll find other places.

I have dined at the New Venus often in recent years, and it has always been a reliable place for ample portions and reasonable cost. There is a very large menu, and they manage to deliver tasty food, whether you are there for their weekend brunch offerings, or the daily specials they offer for lunch and dinner. When dining there... More

A large selection of diner food at a great price in NYC. The whole wheat waffle with yogurt berries and nuts. OK...I know, but I was walking the entire day through NYC. I think I can afford it. My son had the usual, a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. We both ate for $22.00. Not too shabby in NYC!

Unassuming, unpretentious place right out side the subway exit. Huge breakfast menu. Heavy south american influence on the menu. Good sized portions. Combo specials. Reasonably priced. Friendly, efficient wait staff.
