A welcoming, cozy eatery a few steps up on a classic Chinatown street for some classic dumplings, and other delights. Very busy but we weren't rushed. And in a New York where prices are rising as a high as some new buildings, our indulgence in seconds all was very reasonable.

Strolling through the Mott St, and getting hungry at noon - I've went to this nice place. Happy to fund air-conditioning there at July :) The place isn't big. The service was quick and polite. Although I had to ask for the water glass. I had the vegetarian dumplings (5.25$ which wasn't so good) and the sesame chicken (5.95$ -... More

The place is small but service was fast. The food was pretty good and we did not experience some of the issues that other diners have described. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, this is NOT the restaurant for you. If you are looking for good food at a reasonable price, I definitely recommend this place.

We ate here last year and were impressed, even better this year. Friendly helpful server, really nice dim sum. We had a selection of mains including the salt and pepper shrimp and shredded beef - all were great!

We went to this restaurant at 3 pm for lunch. The meals we great, including the fried dumplings, and the staff attentive. Zagats got this correct as one of the best.

One of our tick boxes was to eat dim sum in NY's Chinatown and we did it! Stumbled upon this little place quite by accident (there are lots), but one of the criteria upon reading the menu was that they must serve dim sum which these did. Good service and air conditioned, which is a must in the NY Summer.... More

This was our 4th trip to 4-5-6. Always fast, fresh and fun. Food is very good and there is plenty of it for a very reasonable price. Service is always good even when theirs a line out the door, they keep things moving.

We had the soup dumpings, pan fried dumplings and the house special lo mein. Don't order too much, because they give you more than you can eat. Major yum! Reasonably priced, too!

This restaurant opened in 1964. I started going there in 1987. I never made a trip to NYC without having a wonderful meal here. Yesterday I spent $60 on lunch for 3 and didn't have one dish that was stand-out. The pork fried rice and combination pan fried noodles had pork in them that included big chunks of fat...disgusting. The... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
