We stopped here while in Little Italy. Since the kids were starving, we decided to stop at the first place we saw - what a mistake. Due to location they are very busy and it showed. Our waiter was friendly but the kitchen was backed up. The kids waited for their pizza 40 minutes! And it was less than impressive... More

Stopped in for lunch. We Had brick oven New York pizza on our wish list. Wow. We were not disappointed. Doreen greeted us with a big smile and a warm New York welcome. After a glass of wine we ordered the Margherita pizza with ham. It was delizioso! One has many choices when in Little Italy but this restaurant stands... More

We stumbled upon Luna late Sunday afternoon. Good friendly service and wholesome Italian food, not remarkable but worth another visit.

This was such a nice surprise. It was a small, hole in the wall restaurant in the midst of Little Italy. It was one of the highlights of our trip! Everything had amazing flavor!! I will and have recommended to all of my friends traveling to NYC. It is a must have!!

We visit New York City several times a year, from Philadelphia. At the end of the day, we try to end up in the Little Itlay area. This trip we ate at Luna. They offered a nice selection of dinners along with brick oven pizza for the kids. The pizza was great, thin crust, great taste, not oily at all.... More

Sharing a portion of chips and a pizza with wine cost €100 for two.... some quirky mismatched decor throughout.

In the neighborhood on Saturday, time for lunch. Remember seeing reviews of Luna's. Food was excellent, house wine a treat. Looks like family run business, service was attentive, clean. Would return again!

It was our first time at the neighborhood and we were approached by someone at the door asking if we were looking for a nice place with hand made pizza and pasta for dinner. We answered yes, and we accept his invite to dine there. We were very pleased with the restaurant ambient, the food was delicious and the price... More

We happened upon Luna after a visit to Chinatown. We were traveling with our party of 8, including our four teenagers and our sons' girlfriends. The quaint outdoor seating and affordable menu caught our attention, as well as a passerby who commented that we would not be disappointed. We were not! The Chianti was perfect! We ordered manicotti, ziti, and... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
