Sharing a portion of chips and a pizza with wine cost €100 for two.... some quirky mismatched decor throughout.

In the neighborhood on Saturday, time for lunch. Remember seeing reviews of Luna's. Food was excellent, house wine a treat. Looks like family run business, service was attentive, clean. Would return again!

It was our first time at the neighborhood and we were approached by someone at the door asking if we were looking for a nice place with hand made pizza and pasta for dinner. We answered yes, and we accept his invite to dine there. We were very pleased with the restaurant ambient, the food was delicious and the price... More

We happened upon Luna after a visit to Chinatown. We were traveling with our party of 8, including our four teenagers and our sons' girlfriends. The quaint outdoor seating and affordable menu caught our attention, as well as a passerby who commented that we would not be disappointed. We were not! The Chianti was perfect! We ordered manicotti, ziti, and... More

We only went to Lunas because Puglias on Hester Street was closed. We live in the neighborhood and frequent both Italian and Chinese restaurants on a regular basis. This waiter was rude, inattentive and ill mannered. He practically bit my head off when I asked if there was a lunch menu. The margherita pizza was terrible. The pasta alla vodka... More

Persuaded in. 3 starters all with same tomato sauce although different names on menu. Asked for drinks menu and recap of specials board which was only displayed outside. Still waiting for drinks menu when order taken. 45 minutes for above mediocre starters. One pasta dish wrong on mains so one diner had to wait. Wine was poor. 20℅ "gratuity" automatically... More

It is a small restaurant and the staff were reasonably friendly. The waiter warned us that it would take awhile and it took about 20-25 minutes for mains. The food was really good and we were all stuffed by the end. The downer came when we got the bill and they had added a "mandatory" tip of nearly 20%. If... More

Checked into our downtown hotel late Sunday evening and did not want to stay in for room service dinner. A few minutes and a $6 cab ride later in serious rain, driver dropped us right in front of Luna. The physical facility was not very authentic or impressive. However, the friendly greeting by the server, genuine service and good food... More

The restaurant was not busy but service was horribly slow. Our sangria was good but our noodles were chewy on both of our dishes and the bread was over cooked. Not a good experience was hoping to find something good in little Italy. At least I can say in a good note there was no unexpected gratuity fee as mentioned... More

Was looking for a good pizza and this place, with it's wood burning oven, really delivered. Other dishes also were great and complimentary tiramsu dessert....didn't get that anywhere else. Seems like it is a family run place and we really loved it.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
