We came in from the street, with the recommendation of a seller in a store nearby. The stuff were very nice and walked us through the menu. The food was very good and it wasn't too expensive. I had a sangria and got a free refill and a complementary Tiramisu, for my mom birthday - including a birthday song.

Visited for dinner tonight. I ordered manicotti and my friend ordered the nightly special - spaghetti with meatballs. The server brought bread and butter first - freshly baked and yummy. Entrees followed shortly after; the food was hot and good. We handed credit cards over without looking at the bill. When the card receipts were presented for payment, the total... More

Service for tourists, food is ok, service is poor (served warm white wine). Keep looking and find something less touristy.

My husband and I went there tonight on our first night in New York. There was a very nice young man out on the porch talking to pedestrians about his restaurant. He seemed very kind and described the restaurant as very nice, so we went in. The house Merlot wine was very good. We both had the lasagna, which was... More

My daughter and I split a pizza and it was fabulous. Crispy crusty pizza with fresh and yummy toppings. I had a house sangria that was pretty good and we got to watch the traffic go by and people watch in the early summer dusk. Lovely.

It has been some years since I visited New York and ate at Luna. Made the trip to Little Italy and it was worthwhile. The food is good; the portions large enough for sharing; the wine prices are reasonable as are the mains. The singer on Friday evening was a bonus.

Me and my husband had lunch there; we hoped for a real 'slice' of Italy, reminiscent of our holidays in Italy. We were delighted with Luna, tasty food, wine and a large piece of cake'on the house'. We were there on our last day in NYC otherwise we would have gone back.

Went to this restaurant with my husband after a day of shopping SOHO. Food was very good and very reasonably priced. We both had pasta specials and each was around $10.00. Staff were very friendly. Yummy Sangria too. Small quaint restaurant.

My husband and I came to NYC for a short weekend getaway. We had no real itenary, just got dressed up and looked for an affordable but classy dining experience. We stumbled upon Luna as we were walking down the street in Little Italy looking for a place to dine. The small but romantic table on the sidewalk was very... More

Love this place. The food is always delicious here. Was only able to eat an appetizer this visit but still was given a free glass of wine with it. The area seemed not busy on this day so I guess that's why. Superb bread too. Service is unbeatable. One elderly man waiting on tables - puts young kids to shame!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
