We were in the area for a local competition. Some friends suggested we walk over to this place to get some macarons (yes, that is the correct uppity french spelling). They have a picture menu with the different flavors, etc. But, you have to move fast -lots of people and some very rude (it is NY after all). We made... More

Laduree's signature macarons in every imaginable flavor are just simply the best. Just try to choose amongst Coconut, Raspberry, Salted Caramel, Pistachio, Rose, Praline, and Citrus. One bite of these beautiful treats and you're back in Paris! Their sweets are heavenly too, precious little fruit tarts and gold leafed eclairs. The small adjacent tea room serves the most incredible hot... More

Love the macarons, always crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Always a lovely variety of flavors. I come for the macarons but have heard great things about their other items as well.

Not the first time being to this store, but it is my first time being to this location. We love their macarons. We dine inside this time. But be prepared that there are only a few seats. We came during weekdays after lunch hour. Luckily there are seats available. It is quite relaxing to dine in if it is not... More

From the minute you walk into this retro French Cafe you can't help but be charmed!! The colors of mint green, baby blue and soft pink take you back to Paris in the 20's. You're met by an elaborate bar of macaroons in various flavors and available by the piece or by the box...a perfect hostess gift is u ever... More

I stumbled upon Laduree while in the city. Just a gorgeous little shop full of tasty treats. I had four different macaroons--just the perfect taste & texture. There were many other flavors & different types of desserts but I wasn't able to try them all. I will go back!

I lived in Paris for a while, and there's nothing that brings me back like stepping foot into Ladurée. The ornate decorations, and soft, pretty colors are worthy of Marie Antoinette herself, and it's difficult to choose between the wide variety of macaron flavors available. My favorites are pistachio and rose, but you can't go wrong here! They usually have... More

The best macarons I've ever had. Everything here is delicious. It is expensive but well worth it. Try the seasonal one first.

We left the shop, with carry-out packages to eat while we walked to our next destination. They were so wonderful we couldn't even walk. We had to stop and savor. My only regret - I didn't bring any home. These are truly the best!

By far my favorite spot to get macaroons in the world. I finally made it to the Madison NYC location but also been around Europe especially Paris and even the NYC soho location. I enjoyed my favorite Marie Antoinette and then two other - coconut and chocolate. All perfection as always!

Thank Kristen W

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
