By far my favorite spot to get macaroons in the world. I finally made it to the Madison NYC location but also been around Europe especially Paris and even the NYC soho location. I enjoyed my favorite Marie Antoinette and then two other - coconut and chocolate. All perfection as always!

If you've never tried a french macaroon before, what better place to introduce you to this little pieces of sweet heaven than a place that invented it? I heard they fly the macaroons straight from Paris - but no matter, the macaroons are really, really, delicious! They're not cheap but they're packed with wonderful flavors and melt in your mouth... We have visited this restaurant many times just for the pistachio macarons. They are the best ever. And the prices are actually very reasonable. If you like macarons, this is a must!

This place is amazing, first of, you feel like walking into Paris, and then there's everything on display. These are the best macarons I've ever had, and I also tried the eclair and it was incredible!

Enjoy a dinner, a lunch or just a small dessert on this awesome place in Soho. The salty caramel Ice Cream is just perfect. While getting out, don't even think on not buying some macarons for the go.

I had no idea there was a Laduree shop in NYC - I'd been to some in Paris and London and loved them, but what a fun surprise! It feels like Paris on the inside, but they do have a very tiny space, so be aware if you want to sit for a while. Macarons are wonderful - try the... More

Open the door, and you get transported in Paris circa 1800's. The color schemes and decorations will make you feel like a French bourgeois buying the delicacy for yourself or a loved one. I was happily surprised to find a French employe there. As French is my native tongue, I was able to order in French, in NYC which was... More

Late afternoon tea and pastry at this Soho favorite was so enjoyable, it made the conversation with an old friend even sweeter. While expensive, the setting and the service were both stellar. There's a parking area or road just the other side of the outdoor area, so at times the road noise intrudes into an otherwise French inspired space. I'll... More

The Frick Museum doesn't have a cafe, so a friend and I had to search for a good place to get our Sunday morning caffeine fix. Laduree is right around the corner and the tiny cafe and wonderful display of artisanal pastries are almost as beautiful as the art in the Frick. ;-) We weren't disappointed with our coffees, and... Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
