When I think of my ideal Italian restaurant for New York City, this is it. It is tucked away on a quiet street in Manhattan. You walk in and the tables have white tablecloths. In addition, the tables are arranged and appointed in such a...More

I took 25 people to have dinner there and needed flexibility. They accommodated us easily by putting us in the wine room. Had a nice cozy atmosphere and the service was outstanding. We selected among the entrées and they brought us some appetizers in advance....More

Walked in for a very late lunch; plenty of tables and generally friendly waiters. Old school decor and food; an enjoyable experience all around.

Warm environment. White tablecloths. Dishes are saucy and sauces are very saucy. Sort of obliterated taste of my fish. I had salmon. The fish got lost in the sauce. The arugula salad was overly dressed Good food beneath all the sauces and dressing.

Tucked away in NYC's Financial District, the little gem of a restaurant is just about perfect for high quality Italian food and service. The ambiance is just right, not too overdone and not underdone. The noise level was low. The service and food were wonderful...More

Excelent pasta marinara (pasta + seaffod) and wine. My only observation is the maitre trying to "sound" italian (he´s from middle east..)

Had spaghetti carbonara. Enjoyed the food, including the soup and antipasto that accompanied the main dish. Staff was VERY attentive and polite. Not that far from WTC area.

Nestled away on winding Gold Street in Manhattan's venerable Financial District, Giardino D'Oro is indeed a golden garden as its name translates. All that is charming about Italy comes to life as co-owners Benny Jakupaj and Nick Vuli welcome even newcomers with open arms. At Giardino D'Oro, food is indeed art with the fine Italian cuisine replete with antipasti, fresh rolled pastas, exquisite meat and seafood dishes, mouth-watering desserts, and an extensive wine list. Attentive yet discreet service in an intimate setting with strains of Sinatra softly crooning in the background set the scene for power lunches as well as romance.
